Tips for providing care
• Position for easy breathing– Fowler’s position
• Watch for breathing difficulties
• Report problems immediately
• Follow Doctor’s orders

Prevention of COPD
• Do not smoke!– Including 2nd and 3rd
hand smoking
• Avoid exposure to chemicals, lung irritants and air pollution
