My husband and I are residents of South Carolina and vacation on Hilton Head Island every May. Th is year we decided to go on the 2-hour sunset dolphin and nature excursion through Island Explorers with Captain Chris, during our trip to HHI (the Friday of the week of May 10th). We were with another couple from Chicago and their little boy. It was a beautiful experience for all of us and we could not believe how knowledgeable Capt. Chris was about the ecosystem of the beautiful South Carolina low-country. Captain Chris talked to each of us personally and showed us everything from the dolphins, to the marshlands, to the history of the area, to the architecture of the homes along the journey, and explained everything. It was just a delight! We highly recommend this nature excursion, Island Explorer and now realize why it is ranked and rated NUMBER ONE on Tripadvisor! Th is is how we found out about Island Explorer and we are so happy that we did! We will defi nitely give Island Explorer a call for our next trip to H.H.I. to see new things at diff erent time of the day!

“A Wonderful Experience! A Must Do on Hilton Head Island, SC!”

We went on Monday July 15,2012. It was awesome! I believe out captain was Chris (forgive me if I’m wrong) he was great. At fi rst there were some weather concerns and he explained everything to us why we weren’t leaving etc. once we were able to get out on the tour he was very knowledgeable about the areas was able to answer all our questions. Was fun. And best of all we had our own private tour! Vanishing island was great and we saw TONS of dolphins along the way. We will defi nitely be back. We had a great time and it was an awesome start to our vacation week ! Th anks again for the great time.

Capt. Chris was awesome! I feel like he went above and beyond to make out trip the best! He was very knowledgeable of the area and gave wonderful advise on what to see and not bother with etc… the tide was still low so he asked if we minded staying out longer till tide came in a bit more and we were happy to oblige and so he took us all over the place showing us mansions on the water etc... it was a lot of fun...he said he needed to get gas and if we wanted to stay out longer could go with him or he could get it later so of course we went with him. it was just overall a wonderful trip with an extremely nice young man....GREAT JOB Chris!...

Th e inherent diffi culty of this project is designing or placing contemporary building structure in the historic context of Savannah, GA. In order to respect the historic value of Savannah, the building was separated into components that refl ected the typical tithing block

in the historic district, to prevent the massiveness of a 3-story offi ce complex. In order to further emphasize the main building entrance, the material Corian is used as a exterior cladding system. Th is system utilizes day lighting by allowing light to pass though the

building’s facade with the specifi c use of Corian’s Illumination Series. Th en at night, performances are projected on the back of the Corian panels.

Th e Auburn Education Alliance building seeks to rebuild a geographically shattered community around a common nexus. Th e modular building form is derived from a synthesis of the surrounding architectural vernacular with contemporary structural innovation.Th is building exists not as a contrast to its surroundings, but as a catalyst. A catalyst for reconnection, to “uplift” those participating.
