• At Christmas, families stay together and have lunch or dinner in Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year´s Eve and New Year´s Day.

FOOD

• Appetizer: We eat a variety of plates of ham, cheese, highly-seasoned pork sausage, spiced sausage, canapés. We drink drinks, wine, beers…

Christmas decorations

• It´s a tradition to put an image of the birth of Jesus and the three wise men, they´re called “Belén”. In some places people make a chocolate “Belén”, or they dress up like images in the “Belén”

Christmas decoration

• Christmas tree: Somepeople put a real or false tree with colorful garnalds and balls.

Carols

• Somepeople listen to carols while they´re eating or they´re staying together.

A carol

• Noche de paz, noche de amor, ha nacido el niño Dios, y los ángeles cantando

están, gloria a Dios nuestro rey celestial, ha nacido Jesús, ha

nacido Jesús…

New Year´s Eve

• In New Year´s Eve families or friends stay together, they have dinner and at twelve o´clock they eat a grape for each ring bell. The twelve ring bells are the last twelve seconds.

The Three Wise Men

• They usually bring us the presents that we have ordered them in a letter. They come to our house at night and leave the presents. They only leave presents to good children and if they aren´t good they get a lumb of coal.
