There are many things I enjoy about Christmastime, but the one thing that I really enjoy is seeing all of my favorite holiday movies and specials on TV every year.

Classic Animation A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965) Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964) How the Grinch Stole Christmas (1966) Frosty the Snowman (1969) Mickeys Christmas Carol (1983) Whether its grainy 2D pencil or jerky clay, many of our favorite classic Christmas specials are animated.

Classic Live-Action Home Alone (1990) The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992) Miracle on 34 th Street (1947) Its a Wonderful Life (1946) Once Ive seen as much of the twitching clay reindeer as my eyes can handle, I take a break from my favorite animated Christmas classics and move on to the live-action ones. Christmas films, live-action specifically, tell stories that teach valuable lessons about family.

Modern Animation The Polar Express (2004) Shrek the Halls (2007) Its a Spongebob Christmas (2012) The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993) There are new animated Christmas specials each year. They continue to get better all the time. No more grainy beagle nor a single twitching reindeer.

Films honoring Christmas have been made for a long time now; and they will continue to be made for as long as we celebrate Christmas. They are the perfect tool for filmmakers to spread the Christmas spirit.
