DIARY DATES

10.30am United Worship celebrate harvest Bring & Share lunch

The flowers are given by Fiona and David

in grateful thanks for fifty years of happy marriage

Today is the third of our series, ‘Supporting a flourishing church’. We’ll be thinking about resourcing a flourishing church, which includes us making use of the gifts that God gives us, or more poetically, using the stones that we’ve each brought in our service! Next Sunday we are celebrating Harvest. There will be a ‘United’ Service, beginning at 10.30am followed by a ‘bring and share’ lunch. Would there be a couple of people who can help with the planned Family Fun afternoon on Saturday, 29th September (1pm to 4.30pm)? If you could help can you let David know. Thanks

Samara’s Aid Appeal Back in 2003 Samara Levy was appalled at the conditions refugees were experiencing in the Middle East and was moved to help these people and by trusting in God’s provision she and her helpers have done just that – read her story here http://www.samarasaidappeal.org/my-story/

Jill Colkett and I are supporting the current appeal and hoping you

will be able to help us put together some care packs for new born

babies aged 0—3 months. You can do this as a group or can do-

nate individual items. These items have to be new and the list of

items needed (and information on how it works) is available from

the table near the main door in church.

In addition we are collecting for the knitting/crochet appeal so if

you are good with needles and/or hook please find information on

this also on the table (this appeal is ongoing so there are no

deadlines but if we could it would be great to send some woolly

items off with our care packs!).

If you are able to help please can you give your items/completed

banana box (if collecting in a group) to Jill Colkett, Mandy Mulford

or me no later than Sunday 7 October 2018.
