When Santa arrives in downtownOrtonville on Dec. 4—Christmas in theVillage will be in full swing from 2 -7 p.m.Dec. 4 in Ortonville, a gathering withsomething for everone.
“Come on down for some good qual-ity time with the family in downtownOrtonville,” said Paul Hamilton, chairper-son for Christmas in the Village. “Yearsago Ortonville was the center of Bran-
don and Groveland townships—we’regoing to bring that back with a host of Christmas activities for the whole fam-ily.”
“From the Taste of Ortonville (nextdoor to DL Bonner (433 Mill St.) from 4-6:30 p.m. to Santa Claus at the MannSchool (behind the Old Mill) to horsedrawn carriage rides on Dec. 4 Christ-mas will start right here in the village.”
Hamilton said there’s plenty to do inOrtonville.
“Best of all it’s free—it truly a day tocelebrate Ortonville and the holiday sea-son.”
Molly Lalone, executive director of theOrtonville Downtown Development Au-
thority, who along with Hamilton spear-
headed the event, said this year’s cel-ebration will be bigger and better than everwith a touch of nostalgia.
“Comiing down to Christmas in theVillage in Ortonville is like stepping into aNorman Rockwell picture, except it’sreal,” said LaLone.
