Christmas Clarinet Duet Book25 Christmas Carols for Beginner and Intermediate Clarinetists

This book consists of twenty five of the best known and beloved traditional Christmas carols -- one for each day leading up to Christmas. They are written specifically for the clarinet with beginner and intermediate students in mind, and

they progress in terms of difficulty. The first ten songs are all in the lower register. The next fifteen songs are in both the upper and lower registers.

There are at least two versions of every carol in this book. The first version of each song has the melody entirely in the top line of the clarinet parts. In the second ver-sion of each song, the melody is traded back and forth between both parts. When playing the second version of any of the carols, always pay attention to the sec-

tions where you have the melody and the sections where you have the accompani-ment. Your dynamic level should be slightly louder when you have the melody and

slightly softer when you have the accompaniment part.
