Christmas Preparation

• Christmas Tree is decorated• Christmas lights and candles
are put up• Stockings are hung• Presents are bought and
wrapped
Christmas Eve
• Traditionally, families go to Church on December 24th, Christmas Eve after eating a big dinner.
• In my family, we open one Christmas present after we return home from church.
Christmas Night
• In the USA, the children lay out cookies and milk for Santa Claus on Christmas Night.
• When the children are asleep, Santa climbs down the chimney and lays presents under the Christmas tree.
Christmas Day
• On Christmas, children wake up very early to open their presents and their stockings.
• Adults also exchange gifts around the Christmas Tree.
• Similar to Thanksgiving, many families eat one big meal on Christmas Day, usually around 5 pm.
