✓ Christie began her career almost two (02) decades ago with Matshushita Electric Co., now known as Panasonic Corporation. Through her numerous interactions with clients and customers, Christie developed a passion for the human resources industry and this was how she went on to hone her skills in Customer Service.

✓ Her passion for providing excellent customer service allowed her to win several large banking clients as she commenced her entrepreneurial journey.

✓ Christie’s most notable success was in formulating RecruitStrategy’s proprietary Talent Assessment Process (TAP) based on Sun Tzu’s Art of War strategies. Long-term relationships cultivated with companies in the likes of DBS Bank and American Express International Inc. lie testament to the success of our TAP as we recruited and hired managers and executives for these organisations.

✓ Through a variety of settings, Christie has also displayed strong management experience. Managing a diverse team of talents from varying generations, she has been able to draw out a person’s potential through her listening skills and through understanding the person’s needs.

Through the sharing and use of RecruitStrategy’s TAP, the firm has been able to embark on international partnerships with leading organisations within their field of expertise. Talents recruited by RecruitStrategy have stayed with the bank for an average of about three (03) years. Retention rates are at an approximate 80% amongst talents hired by RecruitStrategy for DBS Bank.

2. American Express International, Inc.RecruitStrategy has been recruiting talents for American Express over the last three (03) years. We have provided them with Relationship Managers, Direct Sales Executives, Marketing Executives, Roadshow Promoters, Bank Tellers, Network Technology Executives, and more.

RecruitStrategy is also responsible for the payroll of the talents recruited for American Express. Over the years, annually, we have had at least fifty to a hundred (50-100) talents who are under our monthly payroll. On an average, talents have stayed with the bank for about three (03) years. We have also had talents who were converted from contract to permanent employees of the bank.

Tripartite Alliance for Fair Employment Practices

RecruitStrategy is also a pledged member of TAFEP.

As we recruit both local and foreign labour hires for our clients, we are socially committed to practicing fair employment practices.

In conducting our Talent Assessment Process (TAP), most importantly, we select employees based on their merit (such as relevant skills, relevant experience or their ability to perform in the job).

Hence we have also created our very own “Code of Conduct for Local and Foreign Labour Hires”, as listed in Appendix D.

1. No-charge policy

RecruitStrategy maintains a strict “no-charge” policy when servicing prospective local and foreign labour hires.

2. Abide by all legal employment obligations

RecruitStrategy ensures that all legal employment obligations are abided by in both local and foreign labour hires. We have pledged ourselves with TAFEP (Tripartite Alliance for Fair Employment Practices), an organisation that promotes the adoption of fair (i.e. non-discriminatory) and responsible employment practices amongst employers, employees and the general public.

3. Fair employee treatment

RecruitStrategy works towards ensuring that both local and foreign labour hires are treated fairly and with respect within the hiring organisation.

4. Practice of meritocracy

RecruitStrategy ensures that both local and foreign labour hires are conducted on the basis of merit, such as skills, experience or the ability to perform the job.

5. Appropriate remuneration

RecruitStrategy works towards ensuring that both local and foreign labour hires are remunerated based on their ability, performance, contribution and experience.

PAYM Policy Forum Series @ Jurong GRC with Member of Parliament, Mdm Halimah Yacob

This PAYM Policy Forum Series was jointly organised with the Youth Executive Committees (YECs) in the Jurong GRC and titled "Employability – Maximizing it!", Mdm Halimah Yacob, Member of Parliament (MP) for Jurong GRC and Adviser to Jurong GRC Grassroots Organisations (GROs), was the host of the Forum.

The PAYM Policy Forum Series was aimed at assisting PMETs in their search to stay employed during the challenging times of the economic crisis in 2009.

On behalf of the Organising Committee, Christie was invited as one of the panelists for the PAYM Policy Forum @ Jurong GRC that was held on Saturday, 25th April 2009.  

Exploring the efforts which the government, companies and individuals may adopt to enhance employability and competitiveness especially of our working youths was the key agenda for this Forum.
