• Discipleship is not just about the spiritual

• Discipleship is a process

• It is about understanding yourself as well as the person you are discipling

• You are not trying to force them into your style and into maturity

• Your own journey and questions

• Often there are many unanswered aspects to the Christian faith

• Personal investment in time, prayer, energy and patience to see them grow at their own pace
