We will be starting up the Monday Night Men's Bible Study on August 29th at 7 pm at Kenny Main's house. Todd Osowski is the group leader. We will be going through Frances Chan's study on the book of James. A brief description follows. True faith produces fruit. A faith without action and without life change is ultimately a dead faith. The book of James speaks to the realities of a living faith in Jesus—the kind of roll-up-your-sleeves and get-your-hands-dirty discipleship that is borne out of an authentic relationship with the risen Lord. James writes to believers who know suffering, who've faced trials, and who ultimately desire a deep relationship with God. Francis Chan unpacks the dense truth contained in the book of James in front of the iconic backdrop of San Francisco, the city where he lives and ministers. Through 12 sessions, Francis works through James verse-by-verse, challenging followers of Christ to move beyond a private, intellectual knowledge of God and His Word, to a vibrant faith that impacts every square inch of life.

Thanks for your constant PRAYERS, ENCOURAGEMENT, and SUPPORT. We feel blessed to have a team accompanying us in Salta.Winter Camp was July 4th-7th we had a great time with around 50 young people. Lucio preached throughout the week on fanning the flame with faithfulness, holiness, obedience, etc, as well as  encouraging everyone to strengthen their personal relationship with the Lord. We also had workshops about spiritual gifts and the church and how we all play an important role in the body of Christ. Despite the freezing cold weather, many made important decisions to follow the Lord. We had a special night with the teens in youth group called the Olympic night. It was a way to incorporate many of the teens that went to the winter camp into the church. There were 5 new teens that assisted. The night was filled with games and the teens were divided into groups that invented their own countries they represented. But the most important part was the Word of God, the Gospel was preached as well as a reminder to continue to run the race the Lord has placed in front of us, that no matter how many times we fall, we must always get back up and finish the race.Married Couples Meeting Last week Lucio continued his study with the married couples at a church in Circulo 4, Salta. He talked about the unity in marriage (Ephesians 4). The couples left being challenged by the Word of God to unify their marriages and continue to grow closer to the Lord. This month has been such a blessing as we are seeing the baby grow and Melissa is very happy to have a new sibling. We also had a tough week with Melissa having strep throat and high fever. But thanks to God after a doctors visit and some antibiotics she is back to her normal self. We have had some nice days going to the park and spending some quality family time. Please pray especially for Melissa as she has been very sensitive because of the new baby, and also for us to have wisdom to continually maintain a healthy balance in our time with ministry and family.Kid´s Day is just around the corner (August 21st). With the church we are preparing for a festival that we will be organizing Saturday the 20th for all the kids in the neighborhood. The idea is to have lots of games, face painting, candy, etc. and end the day with a theatrical group from Word of Life called Show Infantil, that will put on a show for kids that preaches the Gospel. Please pray for all the preparations and that all the kids will come and that the Lord will prepare hearts to hear the Good News of Salvation. Our Prayer Requests: For our spiritual growth, faithfulness, godliness - For the children´s festival August 20th - A bigger place to rent for the church meetings - For the Bible Study Center - For salvation for the people of SALTAWe would love to hear from you and pray for you. Our contact information is Pasaje de las Artes 154Salta Capital, Salta Argentina 4400Please pray for Salta especially during this month. In August there is such a spiritual battle here with a strong influence from Bolivia and the idolatry. For example today, August 1st, many were burning incense throughout their houses or work buildings to clean out any bad spirits, as well as making sacrifices to mother earth (The Pachamama), which consists of digging a hole in the ground and putting money, alcohol, food, etc. They desperately need to hear the Word of God and the Good News of Salvation.Lucio and Amanda Gallo, CFC supported missionaries in Argentina
