How We Will Beat the Numbers:
• Constant data reviews and evaluation of interventions through PLC’s• Address root causes performed by grade levels by:
•Having a weekly assessment day for new students•Implementing an improved PBIS model
• More focused interventions• Smaller group sizes• Instruction focus aligned with Lesson in a Folder and Assessment Poster models
• Timely implementation of intervention• Continued data digs in conjunction with AERO and Achieve Team leadership

PBIS: Where We Are and Next Steps
Where We Are:• PBS goal team in place• Evaluating behavior data monthly• Higher levels of positive referrals (COMET Awards)• Decrease of negative behaviors in targeted areas• School-wide buy in• Video and pictorial models are in place via closed circuit TV, DVD, and Podcast• Development of leveled referral forms that align to school-wide PBIS• Clearly defined behavior tiers and strategies within each
Next Steps:• Revisit and evaluate COMET videos with greater input from current staff, students, and community members•Address and establish consensus about classroom expectations (need established through current behavior data)
