Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, 16 who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power.

•Kingship indicates authority•Lordship indicates authority•He is worthy of Honor!

Matthew 16:18-19Matthew 16:18-19And I also say to you that you are

Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

Ephesians 5:23Ephesians 5:23For the husband is head of the wife,

as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.

•There is one Savior. Indicated in scripture (cf. Luke 2:11) “a Savior, which is Christ the Lord”

•There is no savior other than Jesus

Acts 2:47Acts 2:47…And the Lord added to the

church daily those who were being saved.

•Salvation is only in the “body” or “church” of Christ

•The only way to have salvation outside the Lord’s church is to be saved without a Savior!

how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

•It would be folly to remove a house off of its foundation

•It is folly to seek Christ, without the church!

ConclusionConclusionThe present day tendency to separate the exaltation of the Christ from His church just will not work!

The two are inseparable!
