Eight Presuppositions


1. Money and riches are not evil. The Bible says it is the “love of money” that is a root of all kinds of evil. I Timothy 6:10.

2. I believe it is absolutely God’s desire to bless His children in every way according to

Deuteronomy 28.

3. Some people, just like some children are not able to handle being greatly blessed in some areas; so in love God needs to withhold from

them to protect and ultimately bless them. i.e. Some people can’t handle

financial prosperity (Solomon, Proverbs 30:8-9).

5. Get rich quick schemes are a sign of a

heart that is not centered on God and His design (Proverbs 13:11, I Timothy 6:9)

6. Some people try to “use God” for material gain – that’s not success; that’s twisted self-centered false

spirituality. You don’t serve God to be successful. You serve God out of

love in true humility and surrender. Then through obedience to Him and

conforming to Christ success is simply a byproduct.
