Luke 17:11-13
Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance and called out in a loud voice, ‘Jesus, Master, have pity on us!’

Luke 17:14-16
When he saw them, he said, ‘Go, show yourselves to the priests.’ And as they went, they were cleansed. One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan.

Some blessings can come in DISGUISE
We can LEARN to give thanks.
To choose thanks is to be deliberate in ACKNOWLEDGING what God has done for us.
They are so focused on the gift that they forgot the GIVER
It is possible to receive grace and fall short of entering into a RELATIONSHIP
God is big enough to run the universe, but cares enough to TEND to your needs.
Just because we act in OBEDIENCE doesn’t mean we do so with gratefulness toward God.
The foreigner did what the religious failed to do; he acknowledged the gift and the Giver. He COMMITTED himself to Jesus.
Choosing thanks is to acknowledge what God has done and to live for Him out of GRATITUDE not guilt or obligation
The blessing of thanks is TWOFOLD both blessing God and you.
Nine were declared clean; one was declared SAVED.
When you choose to acknowledge what God has done and live for Him out of gratitude, the vertical thanks is expressed in PRAISE and WORSHIP
