Welcome to my NEW website ‘PetPortraits by Jude ‘.I am so excited to be launching this site as the start of a new venture for me. My name is Jude Peace, I’m based in Bristol in the South West of England, where I work alongside my 3 gorgeous Scottish Terriers, Murray, Wilson and Douglas! I have worked since leaving Staffordshire University as a Surface Pattern designer / Illustrator predominantly at first for the Ceramic Industry ( designing for ceramic giftware and tableware ). I’ve since designed on a freelance basis for a whole host of different companies and products ie; Cards & Wrapping paper, Graphic panels, 3D Character work, Plush, Photography, Brochure work, Print, Point of Sale, Logo’s & even Trend prediction. After spendng my whole career working to other people’s briefs and idea’s I have made the brave move to follow my dream and dedicate my time 100% to creating Pet Portraits. I have always been so passionate about animals and their welfare. I appreciate nature on a daily basis and have always dreamed of having time to commit to painting the animals that I love so much. I find that capturing the animals ‘unique’ personality is the most important factor for me when painting. My work is finely detailed, this helps to capture mood and highlight expression. Details like showing sparkle in the eyes, the shiny textured wet noses and the flow of the animals coat create that realistic pet portrait for you to treaure. Choose from Graphite Pencil, Coloured Pencils or Watercolour Painting also Caricatures! I am offering 3 catagories for you to choose from Pencil Sketched Studies, Watercolour Painting, or Caricature Prints, all of which have Price Guide Information available. I think it is best to email me for a quote dependent on what you require, as you can appreciate every commission is unique and the pricing reflects the hours needed to create your very own personal piece of Art! ( always check my Facebook Page or Blog Page for the latest offers ) Each medium and style has its own benefits. You should choose your medium based on your preference but if you have any doubts please contact me to discuss this. You can email your photographs to me then I can maybe help you to decide. As my work is very detailed I do ideally require high resolution photographs to work from. I can accentuate detail but far better to have all the information to work from right from the start.
