CHISLEHURST & SIDCUP GRAMMAR SCHOOL Revision Topics for Mocks GCSE RS

Intro: There are many different ways of revising, and many different sources from which you can revise. This document aims to help you to consolidate your learning from year 10, and pull all of the different elements of the course together, in preparation for year 11, and during your home/remote learning. Please let us know if you can’t get on to any of the links. Step 1: Check what you need to revise. Go to Z:\Humanities\RS\GCSE\GCSE RS New J625\OCR J625 Specification and scroll straight to p.9 of the word doc and this is the original exam board specification for your GCSE. You can print/use it like a checklist of what to study. Alternatively, buy the OCR revision guide by Lorraine Abbott (Amazon link here) or use your class notes, if you’ve structured them well, they should be a good revision source. Step 2: Choose a method of revision: Read and condense into flash cards, A3 mindmaps, summary notes, playing roll-a-dice games, watching GCSE POD links, using BBC Bitesize revision/tests or just trying sample assessment questions are all good ways of going back over the course content. See the table below for links to lots of these supporting resources. The online resources are aimed at all schools and while they are useful for maintaining a good understanding, they might not provide the kind of details that will carry you to the highest levels. Make sure you refer to your class notes, as well. Step 3: Set aside some time to organise your existing notes and then get going using some of these links if you want to. Go! If you would like work marked or need further guidance, please email your teacher.
