WHAT IS CHINESE NEW YEAR？• Chinese New Year is also known as the Spring

Festival. In Chinese it is chunjie 春节.

• Chinese New Year celebrates the beginning of the year on the traditional calendar.

• It begins on the first day the new moon.

• There are 12 Chinese zodiac animals used to represent years.

• 2020 is the Year of the RAT!

• Chengdu is the capital city of Sichuan Province in China, and it’s the city where my mum’s family live.
