TheinternetcarFuture vehicles will become “smart devices” facilitatinginternet-based services, creating new business-opportunities and business-models (e.g. ride sharing, carsharing), reducing costs of mobility, increasing on-boardefficiency, improving customer satisfaction and loyalty

Theself-drivingcarCar connectivity will play an important role in the development ofautomated driving, using safety relevant data provided by smartinfrastructures: dynamic HD maps with real time updates on roadconditions, exact position of traffic jams and accidents. If necessary,position, direction and speed of other road users. Safety-relevantdata needs to be reliable and secure, and safety-relevantconnectivity needs to be uninterrupted
