For us, if a kid looses a tooth we put it under the pillow and wait for the tooth fairy to come. That's not what they do in China… In China if a kid looses a bottom tooth, they will plant it in the ground in belief that will make it grow in straight. If it's a top tooth, they will throw it on the roof so that it will grow in upwards.

Red is considered a lucky color in china. It represents beauty, happiness, and good fortune. During the Chinese New Year, RED envelopes are given out with money in them. People wear red in weddings in China.

Chinese New Year is the most important holiday in the Chinese culture. It is about being with family and respecting ancestors. In 2013, Chinese New Year will be on Sunday, February 12th.One of the big things that the Chinese do for the holiday is to celebrate with a huge dragon that goes through the streets of china.
