Throw your tooth on the roof!

For us, if a kid looses a tooth we put it under the pillow and wait for the tooth fairy to come. That's not what they do in China… In China if a kid looses a bottom tooth, they will plant it in the ground in belief that will make it grow in straight. If it's a top tooth, they will throw it on the roof so that it will grow in upwards.

The great wall of China is around 5,500 miles long.It's in the range of 15-30 feet wide.41.8 million people went to visit the great wall of China, in 2004.The great wall of China is the longest man made structure.

Red is considered a lucky color in china. It represents beauty, happiness, and good fortune. During the Chinese New Year, RED envelopes are given out with money in them. People wear red in weddings in China.

On the Chinese flag, red represents revolution.

Chinese New Year is the most important holiday in the Chinese culture. It is about being with family and respecting ancestors. In 2013, Chinese New Year will be on Sunday, February 12th.One of the big things that the Chinese do for the holiday is to celebrate with a huge dragon that goes through the streets of china.
