It is almost as big as all of Europe put together! It is home to more than one billion people who are part of more than five hundred different people groups. A people group is a group of people who share things like the same language or history or geographic area they live in. China is divided into thirty-two different regions. of China. It used to be called Canton. It
helps connect the South China Sea with
rivers that reach far inland. It has been a
busy city for trade for hundreds of years.

I hope you’ve enjoyed visiting four of the many cities in China! Before you leave
to go home, could I ask you to do something special for the people here? In the whole
nation of China, only approximately eight percent know Jesus as their Savior. That
means for every eight Christians who live there, there are ninety-two people who don’t
know Jesus. In many parts of China, it is very dangerous to live as a Christian. There
are people who don’t want Christians in their town or their country. Of the more than
five hundred people groups who live there, more than three hundred do not have even
one part of the Bible in the language that they read and speak the best.
Will you remember to pray for the people of China? Here are a few things you
can pray for. You can add more prayer requests to the list as you think of them!
Pray that every person in China will find out that Jesus loves them and will trust Him.
Pray that God will keep the Christians in China safe and help them tell others about Him.
Pray that people of every language will get a Bible in their own language.
