Pitch of Bearing BarA center distance between the two bearing bars adjacent toeach other is called Pitch of bearing bar.Standard pitch is 12.5mm, 15mm, 25mm, 30mm, 35.3mm and40mm by the use.

Pitch of Cross BarA center distance between the two cross bars adjacent to eachother is called Pitch of cross bar, and its standard is 100mm.Both ends are divided by the width. The standard pitch of crossbar having 150mm wide-trench of U-type grating is 80mm.Since the pitch of cross bar is manufactured by a scale rangingfrom 50mm up to around 150mm according to its usages, yourconsultation is cordially invited, if desired.

F-Bar GratingThis is a readily available material for general usage and ismanufactured under strict quality control.

I-Bar GratingIn comparison with other material of the same weight, this isvery economical as well as good aesthetic gratings.

Serrated GratingThis model, with the surface of a FLAT-BAR serrated, isdesigned for foot steps and in particular it is best suitable fornon-slip stair-treads used in slippery places such as refineryplants, oil tankers as well as in steep slope or heavy snowfallarea.

Installation & TolerancesManufacturing Tolerances

1. BEARING BARS: - (Load Bars)Load carrying bars of uniform sectionin rolled steel spanning between sup-porting steel members.

2. CROSS RODS: - (Transverse Bars)Rods of uniform section in squaretwisted steel, electro-forged at rightangles to the load bars.

3. GRATING PANEL:Completed piece of grating, cut tosize, banded and notched as speci-fied by customer.

4. LENGTH OF GRATING PANEL: - “L”The overall measurement of a panelwhen measured parallel with the loadbars.

5. WIDTH OF GRATING PANEL: - “W”The overall measurement of a panelwhen measured parallel with thecross rods.

6. AREA OF GRATING PANEL: - (Gross Area)The total area of flooring including

cut-outs, notches etc. as used in esti-mating and invoicing (Area=L W).

7. END PLATE: - (Banding Bars)Finishing bar of same section as theload bar welded across the ends ofthe load bars also around cut-outsand notches where these occur.

8. KICK PLATE: - (Toe Plate)Heavy Section bars nominally stand-ing 100mm above walking surface offloor welded to the ends and sides ofpanels also around cut-outs andnothces where thes occur. N.B. KickFlat is only supplied when and wherespecified.

9. CUT TO SIZE ONLY: - Specifies that panels are to be sup-plied cut to the overall length onlyexclusive of end banding bars.

10. SERRATIONS: - Small notches made in the top edgeof the load bar to assist in skid resis-tance.

Fastening MethodsIt is important to note that when there is no lateral restraint provided by the support structure, a minimum of four clips per panelmust be used to restrain floor panels. Where larger panels are to be fixed it is advisable to use extra clips on any available intermedi-ate supports.

Characteristics of Zinc Coating’s Durable Property of Anti-corrosion

In the air, under the water, in the soil and evenwithin concrete mixtures, Hot dip galvanizingdisplays magnificent and consistent anti-rust andanti-corrosive characteristics.

Products coated by the hot zinc galvanizing methodpossess ideal properties. They form an anti-rust filmfor iron/steel and, is most economic whencompared to any other method of treatment as itdisplays anti-rust durability against rust in the air,under water, in the soil and concrete mixtures.

Ranging from electric power and communicationuses, such as iron-tower for power transmissionlines, electric pole and other electric powermachinery, to engineering works, architecture,agriculture, livestock and fisheries zinc-coatedproducts are utillised in various fields of industry,and thus zinc-coating has become indispensible toour daily needs in modern life.

1. Works to Protect the skin-film:A delicate, thin film is created on the surface of the meltedzinc skin and this obstructs the process of corrosion there-after.

2. Sacrificial Devotion to Anticorrosive:In case the surface film of zinc coating is damaged for anyreason, the iron/steel corrosive effect will be kept undercontrol, due to the action of the zinc surround, whichbecomes positive ionizing, and thus, functions in a self-sacrificial manner acts as an anticorrosive in order toprotect the iron/steel material by the effect of electro-chemical action.

Such zinc’s sacrificial action as an anticorrosive for iron/steelis a specific character which zinc possesses.

Calculation made above is based on the result gained intermediatelyconducted by Japan’s Hot-Dip zinc Galvanizaing Association.
