Tian’anmen Square
Tian’anmen Square is the largest public square in the world. It has long been a gathering place
for locals and visitors alike. On the north side of the square is Tian’anmen Gate (the Rostrum). It
was from the balcony of the Rostrum on 1 October 1949 where Mao Zedong, chairman of the
Communist Party, proclaimed the foundation of the People‘s Republic of China.
Forbidden City
The Forbidden City (Imperial Palace), directly behind the Rostrum, was home to 24 emperors,
beginning with its creator Emperor Yongle in 1420. This lasted until the last Qing emperor, Puyi,
left in 1924. The massive entire complex consists of 8,706 rooms in which an estimated 8,000 to
10,000 people lived including 3,000 eunuchs, as well as maids and concubines, all within 170
acres.
Return to the hotel after the tour, lunch at own expenses, remaining time at leisure and dinner at
own expenses.

The Great Wall
The Great Wall is the one of the wonders of the world. We will take you to the Badaling section,
one of the best preserved and well accessible sections of this majestic sight. The Great Wall is
an early testimony of the human power to build in the harshest of terrains. As you stand on the
top of one of the towers and look at the wall snaking its way across the tops of the mountains,
you will feel the magnificent grandeur and impact of history.
Lunch at a local restaurant (included).
Return to the hotel in the afternoon and dinner at own expenses

Uncovered in 1974 by peasants digging a well, the Terra Cotta Warriors are Xi’an’s greatest and
most important attraction. The first emperor of the Qin Dynasty, Qin Shi Huangdi, ordered the
making of the warriors. In 221 BC, he conquered his rival kings and unified China. The
estimated 8,000 terra cotta soldiers are a testament to his power and megalomania.

GENERAL BOOKING CONDITIONS:
All pre & post meeting trip(s) can be booked without a prepayment until Tuesday 01 April, 2014. In
case the booking(s) is/are received on 01 Tuesday April 2014, or after this date, full prepayment is
required directly upon confirmation of booking(s).
All booking(s) received require(s) full payment on Tuesday 01 April, 2014. You will receive a
payment invoice before this date with the amount specified and the payment method. Once we have
received the full payment, a confirmation email with tour details will be send to you.
Following cancellation conditions will apply for the pre/post-meeting trips:
No cancellation fee will apply if you cancel or amend the trip(s) on or before Tuesday 01 April,
2014.
Full cancellation fee will apply for cancellations received on or after Wednesday 02 April, 2014.
In the event of no payment received on Wednesday 02 April, 2014 for your booking (s), all pre-
booked trip(s) will be cancelled automatically.
No change and modifications will be accepted after Wednesday 02 April, 2014. Name changes are
without restrictions until 7 days prior to arrival at the destination. EXCEPT: Thailand and Beijing-
Xi’an pre/post meeting trips, no name changes are allowed after Wednesday 02 April, 2014.
Gratuity or tipping is not included in above prices. It is free to give gratuity to guides or drivers
directly as appreciation for their efforts and will be much appreciated.
All local day tour(s) are fully insured and certified.
Entry visa might be required for some nationalities when travelling. Visa is not included in our
package. Pacific World Meetings & Events Ltd. is not responsible or liable for these visa
arrangements. If you would like to know whether you are required to apply for an entry visa in
advance for the destination, please check the visa section of the embassy of the destination in your
home country. An invitation letter/approval letter can be provided for your application, if required. For
