ABOUT OUR CLASSESIs there a performance at the end of classes? Our classes emphasize the process of theatre vs. product. At the end of the semester, students will showcase their work in our “Class Sharings” for invited family and friends.
Our Performance Musical Theatre Showcases are more production oriented. Showcases include technical elements such as simple costumes, a basic set, lights and sound. Actors will perform their play for invited family and friends. Our Fall Musical Theatre Showcases are Elf Jr. and The Little Elves!
What are the benefits of signing my child up for classes more than once?Taking a class multiple times immensely benefits our young actors and technicians. Like a dancer spending time perfecting their form at the barre or a pianist at the keys, our students repeat exercises, warm-ups, and activities in order to build a strong foundation in voice, movement, acting, and design. Final showcase materials are constantly rotating so students are continually exposed to new material and repertoire.
FANTASY PLAYHOUSE CHILDREN’S THEATER & ACADEMY8
EARLY CHILDHOODOur youngest actors will bring stories to life by working on Broadway musicals or beloved children stories through dramatic play activities, movement, music, and visual art. These theme classes promote creative expression, sharing and refinement of motor skills. Blue Card required before first class. Must be potty-trained. Classes include: Princess Academy, Jedi Knight Academy, Magic Treehouse, Moana and Maui’s Island Adventure
ACTINGClass curriculum stems from our six acting tools: body, voice, mind, imagination, heart, and cooperation. Students at all age levels explore these tools to grow, refine, and solidify their technique as actors to create believable characters in imaginary settings and circumstances onstage. Our advanced actor will continue to build on skills learned through character and script analysis and showcase their talents in a performanced base setting. Classes include: Comedy Kids, Homeschool: Acting I, Homeschool: One-Acts, Acting I, Audition Techniques, Friday Night Improv

FILMStudents will explore the world of film where they’ll learn the differences between acting onstage and acting for the camera. This class introduces students who are serious about learning what it takes to make a movie in a fun and creative environment. Classes include: Acting for the Camera
