Children are more than just little bodies. They have developing
minds, growing personalities, and impressionable spirits. That’s
why we at Grounds For Play we seek to encourage, inspire and
empower children through our play environments. Through
our play environments, children at child development centers
just like yours will learn through the four important types of
play: physical, music and artistic, dramatic, and natural play.
Let’s work together to capture the unique spirit, vision, and
character of your child development center.
play environments NOT JUST PLAYGROUNDS
are our specialty!
Musical & Artistic Play
When allowed to create, whether that be a musical piece or an
art piece, children can access their playfulness, creativity, and
innovative spirits. Music and artistic play also helps to develop a
child’s fine motor skills.
Dramatic Play
Dramatic play allows children to act out everyday scenes allowing
them to make sense of their surroundings and watch life stories
unfold. Dramatic play also encourages communication, sharing,
creativity and emotional play. Check out more musical play products on our website.
Physical Play
Movement play, primarily found in physical play, helps to
strengthen the body and helps in the development of gross
motor skills. Additionally, physical play allows for many learning
opportunities in adaptability, flexibility and resilience.
Nature Play
Research shows children benefit greatly from daily connections
with nature. Additionally, natural play gives a child the opportunity
to explore and understand nature — from caring for flowers and
plants to exploring the ground for creatures.
well-roundedenvironment!
Add different play areas in order to offer different developmental areas for
your children.
Why are different areas important to a play environment? While outdoor play structures offer great physical exercise and help to develop gross motor skills, other areas such as dramatic and musical play develop fine motor skills and encourage creativity, social play, and playfulness. While all play is good play, different types of play offer different benefits.
STEP TWOAdd a dramatic play area by including play vehicles, play
houses, or a trike track.
