PRESENT STATUS Under Basic Services for Urban Poor (BSUP) has been undertaken by the NDMC. A piece of land measuring 2 Acres has been allotted at Bakkarwala for relocation of JJ Clusters from NDMC area. Total 240 dwelling units in G+4 format and Community Centre. Current Status: Work in progress. Cost of Project: 21.89 Crores Physical Progress : 73% Completion by: November, 2015.

Under the Social Welfare Scheme, NDMC has decided that the old age home at Kali Bari Marg for the old age people be constructed so that needy people can get this facility. Current Status: Work in progress. Tendered Amount : Rs.9.80 crore Physical Progress : 98% Completion by: June, 2015

VARIOUS MAJOR PROJECT UNDER PLANNING

S. NO. 1.

NAME OF WORK RedevelopmentofShaheed Bhagat Singh Place, New Delhi.

PRESENT STATUS Existing building of SBS Place has been proposed for redevelopment as the existing building has never been able to realize its full potential. There is insufficient parking and improper ventilation also. Existing building comprises of two blocks. Block-1 consists of 4 Upper Floors and one basement and Block-2 is two floors with a small basement. As per present norms approximate 10,000 sq.m. additional area is available to this plot. Therefore, it has been proposed to construct a 12 storey building with 3 nos. basement with a tentative cost of Rs.115 crore. Building shall be got designed through a reputed consultant green building concept with international facilities. Detail Estimate has been Technically sanctioned recently by C.E. (C-II) for appointment of consultant. Current Status: RFP for appointment of consultant is in process. Tentative Cost of Project: Rs.115 Crore. A/A & E/S sanctioned by Council : Rs.5.03 Crore for appointment of Consultant Commence of work: Within a year.

2. Up-gradation of Bapu Samaj Kendra, Panchkuiyan Road, New Delhi

Existing building was constructed in 1954 have the Conference Hall & is situated at a very prime location of Panchquian Road. Said building is in depilated condition & lying unutilized since long back. Therefore to fetch good revenue to the department, building can be rehabilitated or redeveloped as per today’s need of the neighborhood public which is necessary for optimum utilization of the building as commercial building. Existing building is required to be re- constructed after complete demolition.

Current Status: Secretary, NDMC during a meeting on dated 05.06.2015 directed DCA (N) to prepare and furnish detailed Architectural design and drawing of the proposal of building latest by 25.06.2015 to C.E. (C-II).

NAME OF WORK Construction of 188 Type-II flats (10 storied tower) at Aliganj

PRESENT STATUS The type-I flats are to be up-graded for Type-II flats due to the short fall of accommodation in Type- I flats. There are 130 numbers Type-I flats (double storeyed 40 numbers + triple storeyed 90 numbers) at Aliganj. The new 188 flats Type-II are to be constructed after demolishing the 130 numbers existing Type-I flats. A/A & E/S has already been accorded by the Council for Rs.47.34 Crore Current Status: The approval of plans from DFS & DUAC is in process Commence of work : Likely to be started within six months Completion by: 2018.

The Mayur Bhawan is prime commercial building of NDMC in the vicinity of Connaught Place and Shankar Market. The façade of Mayur Bhawan is not good looking. Hence, there is a proposal for façade improvement of Mayur Bhawan for which the Architectural drawings are to be got prepared and on the basis of same the estimate will be prepared. Earlier as per decision taken, work of consultancy was to be outsourced and accordingly RFP for appointment of consultant was prepared and processed. Current Status: Recently DCA (N) has stated that consultancy of this type of work should be in-house. Therefore, case now being processed accordingly. Commence of work: Likely to be started within a year Completion by: 2018. Tentative cost: Rs.3.00 crore

4. Façade improvement of Mayur Bhawan

5. Improvement/ Re-development of old Super Bazar Building

The Super Bazar building near the Connaught Place is in very deteriorated condition and structural safety has been examined through the IIT Rurkee. As per the report, the old building is to be demolished and the new building is to be constructed at that place. Current Status: The notices have been issued by C.A., NDMC. C.A., NDMC has sent proposal to construct with 150 FAR for which decision is to be taken by Estate Department keeping in view of court case pending with High Court and early hearing of the case is suggested for taking possession of the building at the earliest.

The Chanderlok Building is revenue generated commercial building of NDMC having government as well as private offices. The façade and the common spaces of the building are to be improved for the aesthetic look. Earlier as per decision taken, work of consultancy was to be outsourced and accordingly RFP for appointment of consultant was prepared and processed. Current Status: Recently DCA (N) has stated that consultancy of this type of work should be in-house. Therefore, case now being processed accordingly. Commence of work: Likely to be started within a year Completion by: 2017. Tentative cost: Rs.2.54 crore

The Lok Nayak Bhawan Building is in the prime location near Khan Market have Govt. of India offices/Ministries. The improvement of common areas is to be done as per the latest specifications to give good visual look. A/A & E/S has been accorded for Rs.1.57 Crore recently. Current Status: Detail estimate is in process. Commence of work: Likely to be started within a year Completion by: 2017. Tentative cost: Rs.1.57 crore

The Palika Kendra is the headquarter building of NDMC. For its improvement of entrance and lobby at different floors including staircases, the proposal has been made to have the consultant/architect or through in-house for which the estimate will be prepared and the outer look of the building will be enhanced by providing granite flooring and aesthetic design of the entry as per the recommendation consultant for which the estimate will be prepared. Earlier as per decision taken, work of consultancy was to be outsourced and accordingly RFP for appointment of consultant was prepared and processed. Current Status: Recently DCA (N) has stated that consultancy of this type of work should be in-house. Therefore, case now being processed accordingly. Commence of work: Likely to be started within a year Completion by: 2018. Tentative cost: Rs.3.50 crore

Talkatora Garden is a Mughal-era garden situated on the Willingdon Crescent in New Delhi at a prime location consists of heritage structures, Water Channels, Fountains and the same are required to be preserved and maintained properly. In this First Phase abandoned fountains have already been made operational. For preserving the other heritage structures in the garden, required to be planned and get executed in the supervision of expert consultant. Current Status: RFP for appointment of consultant have been floated Commence of work: Likely to be started within a year Completion by: 2016. Tentative cost: Rs.2.50 crore

NAME OF WORK Water Proofing Treatment on the terrace of Palika Bazar (underground market), Connaught Place, New Delhi

PRESENT STATUS Palika Bazar is most prestigious shopping complex of NDMC having underground market with 400 shops accommodated in 12000 square metre area. It is experienced that during the rains there is extensive water seepage/leakage occurs. Accordingly, as remedial measures it has been decided that complete water proofing treatment may be carried with some expertise agency. Accordingly, PUSA Polytechnic has been engaged as a consultant for their expert consultancy in respect of Water proofing treatment at terrace of Palika Bazar. Current Status: DPR has been submitted by the Pusa Polytechnic which is under scrutiny by the department and some inputs are to be filed by the Pusa Polytechnic and same are under final stage. Commence of work : Likely to be started within a year Completion by: 2017. Tentative cost: Rs.5.00 crore

11. Up-gradation/renovationofVidyut Bhawan Office Complex (Phase-II)

There is a proposal of Up-gradation/ renovation of Vidyut Bhawan Office Complex (Phase-II) Old Building on the streamline of Up-gradation/renovation of the Vidyut Bhawan Office Complex (Phase-I). The tentative cost of project shall be Rs.7.00 crore and project is likely to completed by 2017. Current Status: Proposal lying with C.A. Department for issuing of necessary drawings. Commence of work: Likely to be started within a year Completion by: 2017. Tentative cost: Rs.7.00 crore

(a) Badminton Court:- There is a proposal for covering of existing Badminton Court for smooth functioning of game. Current Status: P.E. approved and D.E. is under scrutiny in Planning. Commence of work : Likely to be started by September, 2015. Completion by: 2016. Tentative cost: Rs.48.00 Lacs (b) Overall renovation of PSOI Club:- Manager, PSOI is requesting for Renovation entire club. The higher authorities of NDMC has also desired for the same. Current Status: RFP for appointment of consultant have been floated Commence of work: Likely to be started within a year Completion by: 2017. Tentative cost: Rs.1.25 crore

NAME OF WORK Construction of Porta Cabin for Roll Call Shelter in NDMC Area

PRESENT STATUS In the process of improvement in disposal of garbage, NDMC had started door to door collection of garbage. Due to adopting this procedure garbage stations in NDMC area are now lying vacant and space is not being utilized. It is therefore, proposed that vacant garbage station be developed as Roll Call Centre. At present total 35 Roll Call Shelter (Porta Cabin) with size of 10’x 16’ having facility of male and female wash room i.e. one for each circle are required for Assistant Sanitary Inspector and for Safai Karamchari and space will be utilized for attendance. Current Status: Out of 35, Work of 13 Roll Call Shelter has been awarded. For rest of the Roll Call Shelter, P.E. has been prepared. Commence of work : Likely to be started within two months. Completion by: 2016. Tentative cost: Rs.48.00 lacs for 13 Nos. & rest of work costing Rs.1.20 crores.

14. Redevelopment of Laxmi Bai Nagar, Netaji Nagar, Begum Zaidi and Basurkar Markets

As per discussion in various meetings of committee for redevelopment of old markets in NCT of Delhi headed by Addl. Secy. UD (MoUD), NDMC has initiated for redevelopment of its above four old markets in the Ist phase which were constructed in 1959-60 and have completed it serviceable life, with a tentative cost of Rs.400 crore. All the markets will have 2 basements for services and parking and 4 upper floors with Centrally Air Conditioning System, escalators, lifts, fire fighting system, Security system, landscaping features etc. Cases for appointment of consultant for each market have already been approved by the Council in its meeting dated 20.03.2015. Current Status: Detail Estimate of appointment of consultant in respect of all the markest have been technically sanctioned recently. RFP for these cases have been prepared and under scrutiny. Commence of work : Likely to be started within a year. Completion by: 2018. Tentative cost of project is as under:-

Agenda has been placed before Council for its conceptual approval. Current Status: RFP for appointment of consultant has been prepared and is under process for approval at Finance Department. Commence of work : Likely to be started within a year. Tentative Cost: Rs.212 Crores.

DPR sent to Rajiv Awas Yozana and a letter is received with some observations accordingly RFP for appointment of consultant has been prepared and under scrutiny in Finance Department. Tentative Cost: Rs.150 Crore Commence by: within a year Completion by: 2018

It is four storeyed building having 84 numbers of Type-I flats. Current Status: Tender has been received which is sent to competent authority for award. Estimated cost: Rs.1.82 crore. Completion by: 2016

Proposal: Renovation of Housing Complex by replacement of old M.S. windows with new UPVC windows, providing and fixing of ceramic and glazed floor and wall tiles etc. Current Status:: Tender is to be published. Tentative Cost: Rs.25.00 Lacs Commence by: within two month Completion by: December, 2015.

Main items: Grit wash plaster, improvement of staircases with providing and fixing kota stone and wall tiles.

Tentative Cost : Rs.2.76 Crore.

Handrail for access to the Upper floors of the school building, signage's for disabled persons. Current Status: P.E. Approved by the competent authority. D.E. under scrutiny in Main Planning. The Shopkeepers association of Palika Bazar was demanding for beautification of surrounding of Palika Bazar, therefore, it has been felt that the works such as P/F S.S. railing, dustbin, S.S. signage's, G.I. Pipe railing and repair of kota stone granite flooring at the surrounding of Palika Bazar be carried out Current Status : Tender is to be published. Estimated cost : Rs.62.00 Lacs Commenc by: July, 2015 Completion by : December, 2015.

Barat Ghar in NDMC Area was up-graded/ renovated about 3-4 years back with the moderate design and specifications by the Special Project Division. To up-keep the services of up-graded Barat Ghars and for comprehensive maintenance of Barat Ghars. Current Status : Tenders are under scrutiny. Tentative Cost : 3.84 Crore Commence by : Within four months Completion by : Yearly
