Sacrewell Farm and Country Centre has launched a fun photography
competition The Farm is open all year round to promote farming and
wildlife and to kick-start its “Winter Fun” campaign, it is encouraging
people to get out in the fresh air and take a great winter snap of the Farm!
Marketing and Communications O�cer Megan Horner said: “We are getting
to the time of year where it gets harder and less appealing to get out in the fresh
air! But there is still lots to do at Sacrewell Farm in the winter and we hope the
photography competition will help to promote that.
There are three age categories: Under 11, Under 16 and adult. The winner
of each category will receive a family ticket to the Farm. The overall winner will
receive a family membership to Sacrewell Farm for one year worth £125!
To enter submit a photo no smaller than 1mb of Sacrewell Farm in the winter
to [email protected] stating your name, age, address and
when the photo was taken. Entries must be of the Farm and must not have been
manipulated.Deadline for entries is midday on February 8, 2013. The winners
will be announced during Wildlife Week from February 9 – 17.
Charity total tops £40,000A fundraising committee
has said a big thank you to
the hundreds of people who
supported its events last year,
helping to raise an impressive
£40,000 to help local children.
The �nal total raised by the NSPCC’s
Peterborough Business Support
Group has surpassed the committee’s
expectations, thanks to incredible celebrity
support from, among others, Jake
Humphrey and Penny Smith.
Tickets are now on sale for the
committee’s next event – a Charity Dinner
with guest speaker Paul Ross and a guest
appearance by London 2012 silver medallist
and Strictly Come Dancing winner Louis
Smith. The event is being held at the Holiday
Inn West, in Thorpe Wood, Peterborough.
Tickets for the black tie dinner are priced
at £55 each or £500 for a table of 10. The
evening will include a ra�e and auction.
