EXPERIENCE

3 Years’ experience with a background in linear and nonlinear analysis CFD Analysis of Internal and

external aerodynamic, Fluid thrust vectoring, Drag over a heavy vehicle, Thermal Analysis of electronic

chips, Cavitation over bullet.

Project Assistant

CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories, Bangalore, India. (February 2016 to still date)

Projects:

1. Numerical investigation on shape of afterburner corrugation

CFD Analysis of afterburner character with and without corrugation.

Optimized corrugation shape by in terms of thrust, swirling flow of the turbine. The main

objective of optimizing the corrugation shape is to avoid non – linear flow and increasing the

efficiency thrust.

My Role

Mesh generation for the corrugation duct using ICEM CFD.

Shape optimize from CFD results.

Work closely with development labs for correlation of analytical and experimental.

2. Numerical study fuel pump behaviour on various rotor shafts characteristic

CFD and Experimental development of fuel flow fluctuation simulations.

The fuel fluctuation is help in different engineering application.

My Role

The fine mesh maintained in-between piston and cylinder.

Dynamic mesh created by User Define Function (UDF).

Static pressure change captured for every time steps.

Contract Engineer

Aeronautical Development Agency, Bangalore, India. (November 2015 to January 2016)

Projects:

1) Numerical investigation on external shape optimization studies on Fourth Generation Aircraft

Studies taken care from previous bench mark external body drag coefficient.

Drag force reducing on aircraft is very effective in maneuvering period.

My Role

Clean up half body aircraft by using CATIA V5.

Mesh generation for half body aircraft using ICEM CFD.

Research Associate

PARK Research Centre, Coimbatore, India. (August2014 to October 2015)

Projects:

1) Numerical simulation on drag reduction over a heavy truck

Main object of this project is to optimize the shape of heavy truck without affecting the flow

behaviour on the surface.

Final numerical optimized model is tested in wind tunnel and the results are matching with

experimental results.

My Role

Modify the geometry with respect to the flow streamline over a surface.

Mesh generation developed by ICEM CFD.

Optimize the truck geometry by using drag coefficient.

2) Performance Study of Wavy Channel Electronic Liquid Cooling Using Nano-Fluids

Implementing wave type heat sink with Nano-fluids in electronic device for improving heat

transfer rate.

The numerical result of wavy heat sink is compared with traditional heat sink method.

My Role

Heat transfer model developed and meshed by ICEM CFD.

Nonlinear heat transfer observed by using Ansys Fluent.

Project Assistant CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories, Bangalore, India. (January 2014 to July 2014)

Projects:

1) Design and numerical investigation of subsonic fluidic thrust vectoring device

CFD sensitivity study to evaluate thrust vectoring angle, efficiency of the nozzle, Secondary mass

flow percentage & pressure loss.

Optimized the location of injection position and injection angle.

My Role

To responsible to optimize the smart fluidic thrust vectoring device for sonic gas turbine engine.

Achieved ±6 degree with secondary flow rate of fuel.
