Automatic Initial Distribution (AID)AID is the automatic issue, in predeterminedquantities, of new or revised map, chart andrelated products by NIMA to customers withestablished AID accounts. All Pacific Fleetcommands identified in the 3140.3A will beprovided AID service for all allowance items.

Portfolio Designations - As established byNIMA, nautical chart coverage of the world isdivided into 52 geographical sub-regions asshown in CATP2V01U with each sub-regionbeing assigned a two-digit portfolio number. The portfolios consist of charts with either “A”,“B”, or “X” designation.

received Account revalidations occur annually
