The above chart includes all incidents logged on Sentinel to date, this year. We have experienced a regular rise in reported incidents over the last 3 months. This could, in part, be as a result of increased use of Sentinel following the training of 15 new users over the same period.

Beat 11 (University Beat) has seen a steady rise in incident reporting over the last 3 months, which has resulted in some targeted action in the area. Incident reporting currently indicates that the vast majority of complaints are student related.Beat 18 (town Centre) has also seen a steady rise in incident reporting over the last 3 months, experiencing quite a sharp increase, in November. It is not clear at this time why this should be and further analytical work will be carried out.
