First thing is grip, Grip is the

only attachment to the club so

you can hit the ball.

Make sure that your left hand, the hill putts on

top, the fingers underneath and that you’re hanging

the club. Bring your right hand up like a

handshake, slide it down and hand is on the side.

You can interlock, overlap your 10 finger, hook your

right forefinger and put the thumb on the side. That

gives us hanging, that gives us square in the face

and that gives us that club set at the top.

Henry Brunton created a

little tool that let you just

detach it to your club and

you can work on your

grip. Henry is giving us a

great way to really make

sure our grip is second

nature to us.

Second thing we’re going to do is we’re going

to go ahead and hit solid shot.

We got that imaginary line and you need your

club to arches up so the club comes down.

Then it hit the line and arches back up. Put a

ball and hit that shot solid and that’s what

good spring golf starts with that solid contact.

Winter is the best time to perfect your

strokes. 50 - 100 repetitions would take

about 5 minutes. Then it will come down

alignment and speed and reading the

greens.

Golf is a game where it’s

more of a smack and

impact. We’re going to

take the energy and

smack into the ball,

energy you smack in so

we want to avoid any kind

of flipping.

If you would turn the club

over and do the swoosh

drill, because, if you swing

too quick, it’s because

we’re trying to get speed

but we’re not really doing it

the right way. The reason

for swoosh sound is that

the sound of speed.

So then, we turn the club over, take one

practice swing. So now, we got our solid

contact. We got our good grip. We got our

swoosh swing and we’re going to be off to

a good start this spring. Good grip, good

impact, and speed with less effort.
