Charlie has extensive experience in construction and project management across a broad range of fields. With his grounding as a civil and environmental engineer he has experience managing both small and large marine projects. He displays strong safety and environmental leadership with a commitment to an incident free culture. Charlie is one of the State’s leading professionals on dredging and beach reclamation. As Dredging Construction Superintendent for Chevron Australia’s Wheatstone Project, he was fundamental in ensuring the efficient delivery of the 25 million m 3 ($1.2 billion) downstream dredging component. In addition to being a member of the Dredging Construction Expert Environmental panel for the Gorgon Project, Charlie spent five years developing and managing the Department of Transport’s maintenance dredging program across 30 coastal facilities and regional waterways around Western Australia. Charlie has extensive experience in the investigation, design and construction of coastal infrastructure and coastal protection. A recent highlight being his work on the design and construction of the Augusta Boat Harbour. During his time in government Charlie spent six years managing the State Government's Coastal Engineering Group. Wheatstone LNG Project (Downstream) Capital Dredging, Onslow WA 2013 - 2015 Dredging Superintendent/Construction Manager, with overall responsibility for delivery of the $1.2 billion / 25 million m3 downstream dredging component of the Chevron Australia Wheatstone Project. Responsible for ensuring high safety standards within oil & gas framework. Responsible for minimizing environmental impacts to ensure regulatory compliance in sensitive marine environment. At the completion of dredging 2.4 million man-hours had been worked by the dredging subcontractor without an LTI/DAFW, while adhering to stringent environmental conditions in a sensitive marine environment. The scope was completed ahead of schedule, and less than 3% cost variation and no disputes. (Department of Transport 2007 – 2013)

Gorgon Capital Dredging, Barrow Is land, WA 2009 - 2013 Member of the Construction Dredging Expert Environmental Panel responsible for providing independent expert advice to Chevron Australia and the Minister for the Environment during the 7.6 million m3 dredging program.
