On September 7, Darwin completed his will. While Darwin and Emma were in London for the holidays on December 15 1881, he felt strong pains in his chest. The doctor said that he was fine.

On April 18 1882, Darwin had a really strong attack during the night. Emma was afraid that he was very near to death. April 19 1882, Charles Darwin died at around 4:00 PM at Down House.
