We chose Connor because he fits our character description as he is tall and very mature (looks older than actual age), he has a deep brooding voice that fits Mr. Stringer. Sarah Barnes Bliss Priestley. We chose Bliss because she has good acting skills and is very mature and confident similar to our character. She looks intelligent due to her glasses and comes from a similar socio-economic background as our character. Mark Steel Brad Taylor. We chose Brad because he can create mysterious enigma and also wears glasses meaning he fits our character. He also has good acting skills with previous villain roles therefore he is ideal for this part. Forensic (in background) Charlie Figg. We chose Charlie because he looks formal and clever yet relaxed. We used him for our audience research and felt he had passion for this genre and has good knowledge so therefore he should be involved in our opening.
  2. 2. Dead Body Ellie Jones. She was this role in our story board and did a good job. Location Scout Location 1) House; were using a house as our domestic setting as it works well as Jackson Stringers home in the beginning of our opening. This is due to the large space for camera movement and also the low key lighting. Location 2) Crime scene; were using a crime scene in a park as it fits the narrative and by using a dense forest area we can create enigma and it also fits the codes and conventions of our chosen genre. Location 3) Hill looking over crime scene; were using this setting to highlight the villain and his power by positioning him on top of a hill above the crime scene and Jackson Stringer. Rehearsal schedule Who = All characters including crew and on another day just the detective and crew. What = some necessary props Where = in all three locations to block proxemics Time dedicated = 2 hours a day over 3 days Number of scripts needed = 5 (crew and speaking parts)
