Corian® (product and brand of DuPont) was developed to provide a suitable material for various uses in living and business areas. It is impact-, scratch- and abrasion-resistant and, because of those characteristics, it can be implemented in areas that are heavily frequented.

Hygienic and Non-Porous

Corian® is a non-toxic material and contains no substances that can change the surface – not even after lengthy utilization.

Smooth, non-porous surfaces and seamless joints provide optimum hygiene.

Due to this property, it is ideal in medical facilities for use in operation rooms, clinics, bathing areas for patients, and medical laboratories.

Translucent

Some Corian® colours and material thicknesses are translucent. Using relief-milling in the material sheets, they can be back-lighted, which opens many new possibilities

for designers and architects. These include:

Design objects with customized surface structures

Homogenous Corian® provides the impression of being a single element, both through the uniform composition of the material and its seamless joints – even when used to

manufacture objects in very large formats.

Long Lasting Corian® is a durable and weather-resistant material. Therefore, it can be implemented both in exterior and interior areas as facades, wall panelling or for other interior

design objects. Since Corian® is easy to clean, stable and appealing to the touch, it is also suitable for office furniture that demands disproportionate durability.

Simple to Machine Corian® can be processed using normal carpenters’ machinery and tools. Likewise, scratches can be removed with fine sandpaper or similar materials and badly

damaged parts can be replaced without leaving visible marks.

Thermally Formable

Corian® can be thermoformed into two- or three-dimensional shapes and keeps its form after cooling without losing the performance characteristics of the material. That makes it possible to thermoform it into extraordinary design variations.

Environmentally Safe Corian® is manufactured according to strict regulations to prevent waste and to minimize energy use during the entire production process. The material has received the

GREEN GUARD Indoor Air certificate.
