The Work of Bible Distributors‘Multæ terricolis linguæ, coelestibus una’ is Latin for ‘Many languages on earth, in heaven but one.’ It is a slogan used by Bible Distributors which is a division of Chapter Two, registered Charity No.1053047, which was established thirty years ago in 1976. It exists to promote the Christian faith, to spread the Gospel by means of distribution of Bibles and Scripture portions around the world to those who as yet do not possess a copy of God’s Holy Word. Bible Distributors aims to encourage individuals to carefully read the Bible for themselves. This is done through Bible Correspondence Courses. Each year hundreds of Bibles and thousands of New Testaments in different languages are sent out. At Bible Distributors we have a strong preference for the dignity and accuracy of classic translations such as the much-loved English King James Version. We endeavour to distribute the best translations currently available in a given language [this cannot always be guaranteed due to the paucity of good translations – but we always try to source the best versions possible – and at the best possible price].

We firmly believe that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God. Whilst the trustees do not issue a statement of belief because they hold the Bible to be sufficient in all matters of faith and doctrine, it will be well to say that the work does NOT represent any denomination, sect or cult. The ancient trinitarian, historic and fundamental doctrines received by the church of the living God from apostolic times are held by the trustees and the workers to be vitally important. The workers are all Bible believing Christians who serve the Lord and are wholly committed to communicating the present truth of the gospel.

DistributionOur Bibles and tracts are sold to Missions, Bookshops and by mail-order across the world. Scriptures are sent to the HM Prison Chaplaincy for use in Prisons in England and Wales. Immigration Detention Centres also receive grants of Scriptures from Bible Distributors. Over 300 languages are spoken in London and the demand for our Bibles increases daily. Other cities in the British Isles also have growing numbers of non-English speakers.

Gospel TractsBible Distributors publishes an excellent range of gospel tracts. Many thousands of Scripture tracts have been distributed. Our principal tract titles are Letter for You, Something for Everyone and Pure Gold; we also publish a selection of popular full-colour tracts. Ask us for a free price list and sample pack.

• OPENING AN ACCOUNT at Chapter Two is very simple. Your first order with payment will normally open an account with us. You may pay by credit card. After initial payments for our invoices, having established a regular pattern of transactions, we will supply on account. Please pay your invoice(s) promptly and quote your account code and our invoice number when remitting. Always quote your account code when reordering, you can make a note of it here:

• TRADE ORDERS – minimum £60.00 retail value. Bona Fide traders with regular shop hours may ask for our trade account application form.

• WHEN ORDERING please use the current six digit book order code as well as giving author, titles and other relevant information. This is clearly indicated in the catalogue and means we can work more efficiently. Inland orders for new books over £20.00 include postage and packing charges. Overseas orders are charged postage and packing costs.

• HOW TO PAY. Our invoice is usually contained in the ‘Documents Enclosed’ window which forms the address label on the parcel in which the books are sent to you. All our invoices are calculated in UK sterling (British pounds) and you may pay by Credit Card. You may also remit funds in Euro (€) to our bank account in the Netherlands, or our US$ account in the UK. Please ensure that you have our relevant payment instruction sheet if you choose this method of payment.

• PRICES are current and are maintained wherever possible but are subject to change without notice.

• DUES: Books (over £1.50 value) which are temporarily out of stock at the time of ordering will be recorded and sent on to you when we receive the item(s). If this service is not required, you must let us know.

• ONLY AUTHORISED RETURNS are accepted. Correctly supplied orders are subject to a £5.00 handling charge if returned. Approved returns of damaged or incorrectly supplied items will be given a full credit immediately, providing account code and invoice number are correctly quoted. We will credit the return postage when we are at fault. For items sent on approval, the postage in both directions is to your account if the books are declined.

• CORRESPONDENCE – Please address all business communications to the Chapter Two Trust and not to individuals. If they are travelling abroad your urgent order may not be dealt with until they return!

• In this catalogue we list the principal evangelistic tools available, not all our present foreign language stock is listed. We do have separate listings of various languages which are frequently updated. If you have specific requirements please do not hesitate to ask our mail-order desk.
