Ⅰ . Writing carriers

• （ 1 ） tortoise shell and bone• （ 2 ） slips of bamboo for writing• （ 3 ） paper

（ 1 ） tortoise shell and bone• These pieces are found in HENAN province, a

historic site of the capital of Shang Dynasty.

（ 2 ） slips of bamboo for writing• They were used from Shang Dynasty to the

end of Tang Dynasty(last about 2000 years).

• （ 3 ） paper• It was created at the end of Han Dynasty.• Fine paper could be made in Tan Dynasty.• It would not decay even if thousands years

later.

Xuan paper began to be made in Tang Dynasty ;it was made in Xuan town, ANHUI

Province.

Ⅱ . Writing tools

• （ 1 ） knife• （ 2 ） Chinese writing brush

• Ancient Chinese curved characters on bones and slips of bamboo.
