Introduction
Background of the Study
Technology now is innovative, a person can do anything
that they want with the use of technology. Behind this
technological innovation, the determinants of technological
change are not only to be found in research institutes, but
also as well as to the knowledge institutes or schools e-
learning or online learning.
Every student is now engaging to technology like
computers. One of the best gifts of the internet to the
student is the knowledge that is imparted to every student.
One of the ways is the Online Learning. The researchers of
NEUST Gapan Extension Campus proposed a system called
“Online Learning Management System” to San Roque National
High School for the Kto12 students. Online Learning
Management System allows the students of San Roque National
High School to give additional knowledge for the subjects.
The administrator gives online learning that is helpful to
the students. It is flexible for the users or students and
teachers because it can access easily anywhere and anytime
using internet connection, another it can improve student
skills in computer and learn to be self-pace. And also, it
enables the students to become thinkers, learners, risk
takers in a sheltered environment and learn to rely not
only to the teachers but for them to be independent.
This study aims to provide additional knowledge given
by Online Learning Management System for the students of
Kto12 program in San Roque National High School. San Roque
National High School is located in San Roque , Gapan City,
Nueva Ecija.
Objectives of the Study
This system aims to develop a functional, usable and
efficient Online Learning Management System. The students
can have additional learning and knowledge.
Specifically, this study aims to:
1. Describe the development of Online Learning Management
System for San Roque National High School based on the
traditional software development life cycle phases as
follows:
1.1 Planning;
1.2 Analysis;
1.3 Design;
1.4 Coding;
1.5 Testing;
1.6 Implementation; and
1.7 Maintenance
2. Test and evaluate the developed Online Learning
Management System based on the quality model of a
software as follows;
2.1 Portability;
2.2 Maintainability;
2.3 Reliability;
2.4 Functionality;
2.5 Usability; and
2.6 Security
Theoretical Framework

Significance of the Study
This Online Learning Management System is designed to
learn additional knowledge and the beneficial of this study
are the following:
To Student, the proposed system gives them additional
knowledge. Develops and improves their computer skills on
the subject for a more effective learning. Students can
also access from any location and anytime.
To Teacher, the system is flexible because they had
the ability to deliver and prepare information for the
students easily. They can access the Online Learning
Management System anytime and guides them even without in
the classroom.

To Administrator the proposed system can easily manage
for large groups of students and teachers to update all the
files that they need easily and quickly.
To Researches, the study will improve the skills and
knowledge of the researchers in the field of system
analysis, algorithm and design.
To the Future Researchers, this study will benefit the
future researchers who wish to have similar studies as they
can get background information from the result of this
study which will serve as a template or basis to modify
their research.
Scope and Limitation
The study focused on the Online Learning Management
System that is convenient, flexible and accessible for
students, teachers and administrator.
Administrator account has the full access to the
system. The administrator is the one in charge to give the
ID number of the students and teachers and modify the type
of user in the system. Administrators and teachers can give
the lessons for the students in every grade level. Teacher
can create quiz, assignment, can upload files and can view
the grades of the student.
Online Learning Management System is exclusively only
for the student who is enrolled in the school. It cannot be
access by the guest. The student needs the internet
connection to use it.
Definition of Terms
The following conceptual/operational definitions
of terms are hereby presented for readers’ clarity.
Beneficiaries – a person or group that receives
benefits, profits, or advantages.1
Email – is a method of exchanging digital messages
from an author to one or more recipients.
Guest – a person who is given hospitality.
Learning Management System – is a software application
for the administration, documentation, tracking,
reporting and delivery of e-learning education courses
or training programs.
Meta-analysis - refers to statistical methods for
contrasting and combining results from different
studies, in the hope of identifying patterns among
study results, sources of disagreement among those
results, or other interesting relationships that may
come to light in the context of multiple studies.
Proponents – a person who puts forward a proposition
or proposal that advocates a theory, proposal or
project.
System – a set of detailed methods, procedures and
routines created to carry out a specific activity,
perform a duty, or solve a problem.
Web-based – application software that runs in a web
browser.
Web accessibility – inclusive practice or removing
barriers that prevent access to websites by people
with disabilities.
