Visual Scanning Tips Be PURPOSEFUL and OVERT with your
scanning. Have a clear line of sight to all students and
visually scan all settings in the classroom frequently
Look for behaviors that require a correction Look for opportunities to acknowledge and

questions or otherwise need your assistance (are they meeting your CHAMPS expectations?)

Auditory Scanning Tips
Listen to all parts of the classroom Within your management plan,
there will emerge a baseline, or normal, level of background noise in your room
Whenever you notice a chance in this baseline level, turn up your level of with-it-ness.
