Repeat the Process• Once you’ve found the main idea, you also
need to understand the major details of the paragraph.
• You do this by repeating the questioning process with the main idea.

Using Markings

This paraphrase technique works by• Switching key words with synonyms• Flipping the order of clauses or phrases• Tweaking the wording until you get a nice-
