Motion Looking for missing information/materials
Waiting Waiting/queus/backlogs
Over-production Taking more blood samples than needed
Over-processing Excessive documentation/doing more work than necessary
Defects Documentation errors/treatment errors

Principles of Value-Based Competition
1. The focus should be on value for patients, not just lowering costs.
2. There must be unrestricted competition based on results.
3. Competition should center on medical conditions over the full cycle of care.
4. High quality care should be less costly.– Right diagnosis– Right treatment to the right patients– Fewer mistakes and repeats in treatment– Faster recovery– Less invasive treatment methods– Less disability– Less long term care– Prevention– Treatment earlier in causal chain– Slower disease progression– Better health is inherently less expensive than worse health
Principes de concurrence fondés sur la valeur
