Social housing can fall between the gaps between different authorities and agencies, with the risk of important safety and health issues being overlooked or left to others to deal with. In recognition of this, IOSH Public Services Group has chosen to deliver this event by working in collaboration with the IOSH Construction and IOSH Fire Risk Management Groups.

Event overviewThe day will focus on the property compliance of social housing, to support those who work in both safety and health, and property compliance services.

It is an opportunity to influence those from other membership bodies in the field of safety and health, and enhance the capabilities of the professional people supporting frontline workers.

What’s in it for youThe day will provide excellent new learning outcomes for you to utilise in your own workplace and it will refresh and improve your current knowledge and skills. These include but are not limited to:

- hearing about the HSE expectations on property compliance- understanding proactive leadership to drive compliance- taking on learning outcomes from previous incidents- acquiring technical updates and refreshers- networking opportunities.

This event is open to anyone who either works with, has responsibility for or an interest in social housing, including councils and housing associations. This event is for both members and non-members.

What you need to know Lunch and refreshments are included during the day and free parking is available.

The venue is just 20 minutes from the Dartford Crossing or 40 minutes by train from Fenchurch Street. The nearest station to the venue is Pitsea, which is just a 4-minute taxi journey.

As with all IOSH events, any value gained from attending this event can be recorded in your CPD portfolio.
