54% Viognier, 22% Vermentino, 15% Verdelho, 9% Sauvignon BlancThe Power of 4 – this wine is an estate blend combining grapes from our prestigious Huerhuero and Jardine vineyards locatedin the rolling hills of Paso Robles, where warm afternoons and cool evening breezes guide the grapes to perfect ripeness. Thevarieties used in this blend are very unique to Paso Robles and California’s Central Coast. Intended as a trial, we discoveredthat both the Vermentino and Verdelho have responded extremely well to the terroir of our Huerhuero Vineyard.

Each variety was harvested at night in an effort to preserve the fruit’s fresh flavors. The grapes were pressed at the wineryand fermented separately in stainless steel tanks. Different yeast strains were used to best express the characteristics ofeach variety, resulting in a wine with added dimensions. No malolactic fermentation occurred to retain fruit vibrancy. Afterfermentation, the wines were blended based on trials and the individual character of the wines. The result is a synergisticblend that is more delicious than the sum of its parts; a compelling wine.

Enjoy now through 2017.• Color: Light straw with green hues• Aroma: Peach and mango with hints of citrus• Taste: Lively, medium-bodied with layers of fruit and a lingering, crisp finish

We first discovered Paso Robles in the early 1980s and became enamored with this emerging wine country. Along goldenslopes, where the Pacific coastline unfolds into rugged ranchlands and cowboy ambiance, a new generation of Californiawinemakers was turning Paso Robles into one of the world’s most dynamic winegrowing regions.

In the mid 1990s we planted our first estate vineyard and established Vina Robles as a family winery specializing in varietiesthat excel in the region’s diverse terroir. The vision for Vina Robles is summed up by our motto: European Inspiration –California Character.

Today, our wines are available across the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia, and can be enjoyed at our HospitalityCenter in the heart of the Paso Robles wine country.

Halfway between Dijon and Beaune, facing east, the vineyards of Nuits-Saint-Georges extend over 6 kilometers, making 140hectares (or 346 acres) of Premier Cru designation. The difference in the soils, in the orientations, and in the situationsmakes for a huge diversity of terroirs. And the appellation is split in half by the Meuzin valley and its small river, and by thevillage.

The Single Vineyard of Saint-Georges has the highest reputation, so much so that the village took the name in the 19thcentury. At that time, its price equals some grand cru like Corton and the vineyard was recognized as "Tête de cuvée", thehighest rank, in Dr Jules Lavalle's classification.

Having an ideal situation in the middle of the slope with a full east exposure, the Pinot Noir here gives a wine beautifullybalanced between power and delicacy.

VINTAGEThe 2013 growing season essen-ally offered conditions that were as close to perfect as they come. Early winter rains werefollowed by a warm, dry spring, resulting in an early growing season that saw no frost. Summer was warm, but without theusual heat spikes to shut the vines down or produce sunburn. Ripening occurred earlier than usual, and was very even. Thewines are bright, energetic, with beautiful aromatics and full of complexity.

FERMENTATION70% of the fruit was de-stemmed and moved by gravity to open top fermenters. The remaining 30% was left whole clusterand added to the top of the destemmed fruit. The tank was chilled to 50F for a nice, long cold soak to increase enzymaticextraction then allowed to warm on its own. The fermentation was indigenous as was malolactic. This terracedvineyard’s soil consists of porous tufa, clay, and limestone, and is the basis for Monte del Fra’s effort to express theinterdependence of the terroir and indigenous varietals that dot the landscape around Verona.Massinoti da Monte del Fra Tradition To understand the history of Monte del Fra, one must head back to the 15th century. The Capitolare, an historic library inVerona, provides evidence of winemaking activity by the early owners, the Veronese Monks of the order of Santa Maria dellaScala. To be precise, the monks rented the vineyards to several families, the most prominent from the village ofSommacampangna, and rent was paid to the Monastery in the form of grapes, vegetables, and of course, wine. Transfers, fighting between the monks and owners, court battles, and finally, the expropriation of land from the Church to privatehands by decree of Napoleon Bonaparte, are just a few notes from the rich history of this winery. Since 1958, the Bonomofamily has crafted exceptional wines, primarily from Custoza and other vineyards surrounding Lago di Garda. For a little overa decade, the have used their experience to create wines from vineyards they purchased in Valpolicella, thus continuing theevolution of this wineries’ history. Vineyards For Custoza and other wines from the area of Garda Lake, the wines are crafted from grapes grown in the followingvineyards: Monte del Fra, Ca del Magro (from which comes their often lauded, perpetually Tre Bicchieri winning “Ca delMagro” Custoza), Grottino, Colombara, Staffolo, Montegodi, Bagolina, and Pezzarara. For Valpolicella and Amarone, the wines are crafted from vineyards purchased over the last decade or so: Lena di Mezzo

Massinoti For years Nathan Woodhouse, owner and Import Director for Ionia Atlantic Imports, has been tasting the wines Monte del Frawith Marica Bonomo. While interested from the beginning, Monte del Fra had, and continues to have, representation in keystates that Ionia operates. Finally, after searching for years for a line of wines from Garda and Valpolicella, we decided to commit to building a brandwith Monte del Fra. Thus, Massinoti was born. Our love of the wines of this estate is represented in the wines of Massinoti, aswell as the rich history of Monte del Fra.

The grapes are brought into the winery, and after a brief period of chilled pre-fermentation, spontaneous alcoholicfermentation (with no added yeast) is initiated. During the barrelling period, which lasts 22 days, the wine is crushed andpumped over daily, all the while controlling the density, temperature and evolution of the yeast. At the end of thisfermentation, the tanks are emptied and malolactic fermentation begins.

The malolactic fermentation begins without the addition of bacteria. The temperature is held steady at 20 ºC for a period of24 days, during which we monitor the levels of malic and lactic acids. When the malic acid content is less than 0.1 grams perlitre, the wine is decanted to separate the lees and is transferred directly to the barrels without undergoing any type offiltration, clarification or cold treatment.

The wine is aged for five months in new French oak barrels. At the end of this period, it is taken to the tank, homogenised bylight filtration through cartridges and then bottled.

Yields are kept low and the vineyard is vertically trained. The wines made at thisvery special property in Argentina are treated with the same dedication and care as those of the finest wines of Bordeaux

THE PÉRÉ-VERGÉ FAMILY

The Péré-Vergé family, more than just being the owners of the Bodega Monteviejo winery are a family passionate about thegreat wines of the world. Under the entrepreneurial vision and driven nature of Catherine, the family came to Argentina atthe end of the 1990s in order to build a winery in one of their favourite places in the world. Since the passing of Catherine in2013, her family has been led by Henry Parent who continues with untiring passion to make great wines in Argentina.

THE PROPERTYThe land comprises 130 hectares at between 1000 and 1200 meters above sea-level in Vista Flores, Tunuyan, 120km southof Mendoza city. The land’s slopes face the North and East giving them better sun exposure in the Southern Hemisphere.

Situated in the Clos de los Siete countryside, the construction of the winery began in 2001, and the first harvest was made in2002. With a total surface of 8500m2, Monteviejo counts on a gravitational system with a double selection table for bunchesand grapes. The objective is to transport the raw material without using pumps, taking care not to damage it in any part ofthe process. From the harvest to the bottling – passing down through barrels for aging – the wine moves along carried onlyby gravity.

CATHERINE PÉRÉ-VERGÉCatherine Péré-Vergé (1939-2013), was one of the great Bordeaux wines revolutionaries, and, at the time, was the onlywoman making wine in Bordeaux. In Pomerol, this iron-willed manager found her home and raised Montviel, Le Gay or LaViolette to the highest standards, always with the continued support of her friend Michel Rolland.

Catherine Péré Vergé showed her visionary character with a good dose of perfectionism, convinced that perfection isobtained by the sum of very precise details. Her trajectory has proven her right. She began at Montviel, reached the summitwith Le Gay, and acquired her respectability with La Violette where she reached her objectives in only a few vintages. Shealso was the engine driving the Clos des 7 in Argentina, being the first to construct her bodega alongside Michel Rolland.

The northern heiress to the Cristalleries d’Arques, tenacity was her only watchword, as she took her commitment from thePomerol countryside all the way to the vines of Mendoza.

WINEMAKER MARCELO PELLERITIMarcelo is one of the great leaders of winemaking in Argentina and on an international level. He is a young professional, wholearned at the right hand of Michel Rolland how to interpret the vineyard and make wines that stand out in the world.

For the last 14 years he has directed the harvests in Bordeaux at Chateau La Violette and Chateau Le Gay. Every Septemberand October, Pelleriti goes to France for the harvest after having managed our harvest season at Monteviejo.

His experience made him the first Argentine winemaker to obtain a 100 point rating from Robert Parker’s magazine with aFrench wine while concurrently achieving high ratings for Argentine wines.

The 2013 vintage in McLaren Vale was quite successful with no raininterrupting the harvest. Harvesting grapes was completed by the end of March. With all of the fruit safely into wineries byEaster & the industry grateful for a holiday break. As well as being dry, there was effectively no rainfall for three monthsfrom December; it was also notable for being a warm summer. In the background it was officially announced to be thewarmest summer experienced in Australia since records began and this explains the rapid ripening seen locally. The

weather presented some challenges, but also had some advantages with disease levels the lowest for many years and fruitvery clean & healthy. Whilst the McLaren Vale vintage was light in crop, it was of very good quality.VINIFICATON: The grapes were gently de-stemmed and transferred to stainless steel fermenters. A portion of the grapeswere cold soaked at 6°C for 5 days to enhance color and fruit expression. The fruit was then fermented at a constant warmtemperature using a Shiraz-specific yeast isolate. Gentle mixing using inert gas occurred 2-3 times over the course of theday. The wine was then gently pressed to water-bent American oak barrels (30% 1 year old, and 70% 2-3 year old) forsecondary, malo-lactic fermentation. After oak maturation, the wine was blended, fined, filtered and bottled in April 2014.WINEMAKER NOTES: At release, the wine has a deep, rich crimson color with a vibrant purple hue to the edges. There arelifted aromas of ripe, dark berries along with subtle plum and café creme mocha and spicy overtones of nutmeg, cinnamonand clove aromas. This is a rich, full-bodied wine with intense flavors of ripe dark cherry, plum, black berry and blueberryfruit, with attractive spicy, charry oak characters of coffee and chocolate. The palate is well balanced with a silky, subtlesoft, yet full texture to the mid-palate. The finish is persistent with lingering velvety tannins.Three generations of familywinemaking

Our story began three generations ago, with the dream of my grandfather, Bill Taylor Snr, and his sons, Bill and John. Winemerchants in Sydney, all three Taylors were singularly passionate about wine – and most particularly the famous Frenchclarets such as Chateau Mouton Rothschild from Bordeaux. This love affair with exceptionally crafted wine eventuallyinspired them to try and create a stunning wine of their own…

Red, brown, and gold

Bill Snr, Bill and John set out to find the perfect piece of land to establish a vineyard in the Taylors name. In 1969, after aconsiderable search, they found a promising 178-hectare site by the Wakefield River in the Clare Valley. They were certainthe soil – red brown loam over limestone (now called terra rossa) – would prove conducive to crafting wines of the highestquality. The contrast of warm days and cool nights in the Clare would be equally beneficial – helping the Cabernet Sauvignongrapes ripen in the day, and rest at night.

It didn’t take long for this bold vision to be realised – and critical recognition soon followed. In fact, when they entered theirfirst ever vintage release in the Royal Adelaide Wine Show, it took home the coveted Montgomery Trophy for best red wine inshow. The accolades didn’t stop there however – that 1973 vintage won a gold medal at every national wine show it wasentered in.

The mark of quality

My family’s conviction that the terra rossa soil of the Clare Valley was perfect for making wine, was borne out with a surprisediscovery during the excavation of the vineyard dam. The fossilised remains of tiny seahorses were found in the limestonebedrock– confirmation that the area had once been the bed of an ancient inland sea. After this discovery, it seemed onlynatural to adopt the seahorse to represent our wines – and today the three seahorses serve as a tribute to three generationsof Wakefield winemakers; and as a mark of the quality you’ll find in every bottle of Wakefield wine.

Appellation of origin: Priorat DOQ

Grape varieties: 60% Garnacha Negra (Grenache Noir), 15% Cariñena (Carignan), 15% Syrah, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon

Tasting notes: Brilliant, clean, and cherry red in color with a cardinal-red rim. The nose is rich with red fruit, bringingraspberries and red currants to mind, with notes of aniseed. Fresh and fruity on entry, red fruit once again comes to the fore, this time blended with echoes of vanilla from its brief stint in oak. It is well balanced and its mature, velvety tannins usher ina long, elegant finish.

Soil: The rocky soil, very poor in organic matter, makes for low-vigor, low-yield vines. The laminated bedrock means thevines’ roots grow down as far as 15 meters. Both factors help the vines endure the summer stress and lead to a perfect, progressive ripening of the grapes.

2013 harvest: This year was characterized by a rainy spring and a warm, dry summer and fall. Garnacha (Grenache)production was uneven owing to ripening difficulties. The June hailstorm did not have a major impact. The harvested grapeswere healthy and of excellent quality.

Food pairing: Its striking freshness and medium aromatic intensity make Inici the perfect wine to accompany partridge with truffles and wild mushrooms, duck breast with sweet potato and grape sauce,a selection of artisan cheeses, or dishes made with free-range eggs.

InLatin, our name means “purity from the Priorat,” and for us it epitomizes “wine from the Priorat in its purest state.” Thegeometric shapes in our logo are two ancient images symbolizing the sky and the earth.

The words Merum Priorati embody our very essence: Priorati ‘of the Priorat’ ties us to a region whose history makes ourwines unique, and Merum `purity’ reflects our endeavor to remain true to our cherished roots and ways of working.

The primordial earth underpins our identity and our brand. We honor the earth, we show it our deepest respect, and we giveit thanks for grounding us and supporting the vines that bear the fruit we use to make exceptional wine.

We know that the sky shapes the character of a wine. Merum Priorati wines contain the energy of the air and the sun, themagnetism of the moon, the echo of mists and frosts – the whims of a sky that holds sway over vines, time and mankind.
