Need Help in the Flowerbed? Ask a DuPage County Master Gardener Trained volunteers are prepared to field your yard and garden question as spring makes its way to DuPage County.
The University of Illinois Extension Master Gardener Help Line in DuPage County is now open for the 2015 season, according to the university.
How to contact the Master Gardener Help Line:
•In March, the DuPage County Master Gardeners are available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon at 630-955-1123. •In April, the Help Desk will be open an additional day each week with Master Gardeners available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon. •Questions also may be sent via email to [email protected].
“Vegetable seed choice and starting seeds are two popular topics this time of year with the Master Gardener Help Desk,” said Sarah Navrotski, program coordinator, in a statement. “Master Gardeners are also advising on what needs to be done in gardens and yards right now, including questions about pruning, soil health, and disease control and prevention.”
The help desk volunteers can also answer questions about trees, shrubs, lawns, flowers and more.
