tracks Brewing Company celebrated their month long Freedom Fest in July! Freedom Fest was a month long celebration of changes in utah liquor laws, allowing private clubs to be open to the public. the official “Kick off” party and a ribbon Cutting Ceremony was sponsored by the Chamber and held on July 15th . guests were treated with free menu samples, brewery tours & freshly brewed root beer.

dayne applegate, owner; and Cheri M Watts, partner; cut the ribbon with support from other employees, guests and Chamber members.

during the day, tracks will be a lot like other utah breweries, such as squatter’s and red rock. they brew their own beer right at their Main street location and offer a great place to eat lunch and dinner, whether with clients or just a great meal with friends. after 10pm they let their hair down and have fun with a mix of local band and dJ’s, karaoke, poker and national acts like royal Bliss (coming soon). tracks is proud to offer tooele a well-de-served restaurant experience during the day with “Big City” atmosphere in the evening.

tracks Brewing Company is located at 1641 n. Main st. tooele and can be reached at 435-882-4040. operating hours are Monday - sunday 11 am - 2 am. they have great indoor as well as patio dining. Check out the website at www.tracksbrewing.com for upcoming events, promotions and a complete menu.

Avoid kinking exhaust vent behind dryer. The shorter the better. Exhaust ducting should be of a metalized semi rigid/flexible material. Do not use vinyl as it can be easily crushed. Vinyl will not withstand heat as well as metal-ized ducting. Check your outside vent hood. Clean if necessary. It is not advisable to use mesh wire or grates to cover the vent hood. This will definitely help keep rodents or birds out of your exhaust but can easily clog as some lint always makes it through the dryer’s lint screen. The best vent hood has a flapper that opens when the dryer is in use and closes when off. Verify proper operation of the flapper periodically. Clean lint screen between loads and more frequently if drying material with higher cotton content. Do not overload dryer. Too many clothes will inhibit proper circulation of heated air between and through the garments. On the other hand, too few clothes can create a similar problem by bunching and disallowing

proper air flow through the clothes. Proper air flow dis-sipates the moisture from the clothes faster making for a faster dry time. In winter months, dryers located in a heated area of the home will dry more quickly than a non-heated utility room. Drying multiple loads one after the other will reduce overall dry time by utilizing heat retained by the dryer from previous loads. Recheck pockets before putting clothes into dryer. Chewing gum may make it through the wash with little to no consequence but your luck will run out if it is put into the dryer. Gum, pencils, change, nails, needles, jewelry, etc. can damage clothing as well as damage your appliance (as a rule of thumb, do not lay loose change or other small articles on top of your appliances).

CUstomer serviCe awardDenny Hudson at CST Automotive has

been nominated for the Tooele County Chamber of Commerce “Come Together” Customer Service Award by Kris King, Mountain America Credit Union.

Kris had this to say about Denny: “I lent my family van to a relative who had an unfortunate encounter with a very strong yellow pole. Our relative took it to a shop in Salt Lake that quoted $1300 for repairs. We took the van to CST Body & Paint and Denny quoted us $850 for the same job. The made everyone financially happy. That was not, however, the best part. After looking over our poor van, Denny retrieved some special cleaners and rubbed off the bright yellow paint that was making the damage look much worse than it was. He was very personable and you could tell he knew what he was doing by the way he looked at the damage and answered my questions. I have had to struggle with the relative to arrange payment and have had to go back to CST two times for more detail on the quote, including a dispute from her insurance company on the estimate. The entire time Denny was easy going, but stood firm on a price that would cover fixing the damage the right way. I felt like he was my advo-

cate when I really needed one. It was great to feel so valued and to receive quality service that was so sincere.”

Congratulations Denny for showing our community that they can keep their busi-ness local, get a great deal and fantastic customer Service! Denny can be reached at (435) 882-8925 or you can visit him at 1685 N. Progress Way, Tooele; for all your auto body repair or painting needs.

When it’s time for the bigger purchases, it is nice to have a friend in the business, that can hook you up with lower prices, like contractors pay. Wasatch Blinds & Flooring is now open at 36 North Main - Suite #5, in Tooele, Utah. We are that friend.

We know that you can shop at the larger stores and be in awe of their vast selection. We also know that you can be impressed by their beautiful showrooms, and large buildings. We also know that you should be impressed, because you are paying for them. We don’t want to be that store, just the one that saves you money. We know it doesn’t matter how it looks in the showroom, but how it looks in your house.

We have put a lot of thought into how we can save you, our neighbors money. We know that we must keep our overhead low, to be able to pass any savings onto you, our customers. We have come up with a few ideas. First we found a small showroom with a convenient Tooele location, where the rent was incredibly cheap. Secondly we decided to only open the doors “By Appointment Only.” We chose to not to staff the showroom with employees paid on commission, instead you deal directly with us, the owners. We have narrowed our list of suppliers, by choosing specific quality product lines that fit our lifestyle out West. Because we don’t carry every product line known to man, we do a higher volume through the select product lines we have chosen to carry, which keeps our cost low.

We are a family run business. Jon Gossett

is a very sought after tile contractor and has successfully run his business, Renaissance Tileworks, Inc. since 1994. He has been in the flooring business for many years, and brings his expertise to the business. His wife, Tracy Gossett, has been instrumental in the interior design aspect of his business and brings her design knowledge to the table. Our children David 20, Sarah 16, Amelia 12, and Triston 10, all play a vital part in this family business.

We want to be your one stop shop for inte-rior design elements. Whether you are look-ing for Shutters, Blinds & Shades, or Carpet, Hardwood & Tile, you are in luck. We have some of the finest products, and installers around. Let us tell you more.

We carry an extensive line of quality window fashions, from Shutters, Blinds & Shades, even Custom Draperies & Motor-ization. With window coverings, we can bring the store to you. Where would you rather look at window coverings - In a home improvement center under commercial fluorescent lighting, or in the very room they are to be installed?

Looking for soft surfaces? You have come the the right place. At Wasatch Blinds & Flooring we carry a full line of Carpet by Shaw. Tuftex of California has a vast selec-tion, with a color pallet that has been chosen for the way we live, and decorate out West. Most carpets are in stock in California and can be in Salt Lake within 2-3 days and ready for install. We also carry outdoor carpet, and have stock pieces in Salt Lake for immediate

delivery. We do have access to all carpet lines. If it is hard surfaces that you are look-

ing for, we carry quality lines of Hardwood Flooring from Urban Flooring & Johnson Flooring. Let us show you the difference in engineered, solid pre-finished hardwood, and laminate flooring with surface warranties that are the top of the industry. We also carry unfinished solids with a custom sand, fill & finish. We’ve got you covered once again with the lowest possible price.

Maybe it is Tile, Stone & Glass you need, you’ve definitely come to the right place. Our sister company Renaissance Tileworks, Inc. has been a leader of quality installations

in Utah since 1994. If you live along the Wasatch Front chances are good you’ve seen or walked on our work. Quality estate homes and key businesses have come to us for high quality installations from Balboa Island, to Colorado. Even major tile suppliers have asked for our help & expertise in intricate tile installations in their own showrooms.

If it is design help you need, we are there for you. Set and appointment and come in to our selection center and lets design some-thing you can be proud of. We are confident that when you compare apples to apples, that you will be blown away by our prices. We look forward to working for you.

Jon and tracy gossett celebrate the opening of their new Main street location with a ribbon cutting celebration hosted by the tooele County Chamber of Commerce. Joining in the cel-ebration included their children david, sarah, amelia, triston; sister Mary Johnson and parents orien & annette gossett along with many Chamber members.Wasatch Blinds is located at 36 north Main - suite #5 and can be reached at (801)856-7548.

Members:The Tooele County Showcase of Homes still

has time for you to sign up for a booth space. You can promote your business and meet new people.

What a great way to reach people directly. They will actually come to you. Make contacts, face to face, with people who are interested in learning more about your business. Set up a booth with pictures of your products, colorful objects for demonstrations, and even video footage.

The cost of the booth is $100.00 for all six days. The Showcase runs September 3, 4, 5, and 10, 11, 12. The times are 10 am – 9 pm daily.

If sitting at your booth for those hours is inconvenient you may just want to leave out fli-ers and business cards for people to take. Please contact us directly if you are interested.
