Leadership Plant City Class of 2019 Nomination Period Now Open Leadership Plant City enhances the development of long-term leadership

in the community

Leadership Plant City is a program of the chamber that focuses on community

collaboration and the development of effective leadership skills. Each year we

accept twelve applicants in this nine month program. Over the course of nine

months, the participants visit area business, hear from community leaders, and

attend retreats to refine their leadership skills.

Leadership Plant City aims to identify existing and emerging leadership from

various geographic, occupational, and economic segments of the community who

have a sincere commitment to remain in the Plant City area. And then acquaint

the participants with a wide

range of community issues,

resources, and opportunities

that exist in greater Plant

City and Hillsborough

County to discover a greater

sense of community.

leader in our community,

Thursday, April 12th - Chamber Networking Lunch

The second Thursday of every month is our Chamber Networking Lunch. These luncheons attract

100+ members of the business community for a time of networking and include a presentation from a

guest speaker. This month’s luncheon is sponsored by Centerstate Bank. Click here to register now.

Friday, April 20th - Children’s Classic Golf Tournament

Every year we have the pleasure of partnering with South Florida Baptist Hospital and the Kiwanis'

Club to host the Children’s Classic Golf Tournament. This year’s tournament will be held at River Hills

Country Club with a shotgun start at 12:30pm.

Workshop

On the fourth Wednesday of the month we host

our newly revived Lunch & Learn Series. April will

feature presentations from local experts (including

James Chittenden, Marc Poling, & Freddie Ray)

On Tuesday, March 20th The Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for new member, AccessPoint. “For nearly 30 years, AccessPoint has helped businesses of all sizes skillfully navigate the modern work place, introducing efficiencies and safeguards while never forgetting the personal element fundamental to all business and employment relationships. On Tuesday, March 27th The Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for Pinch A Penny Pool Patio Spa! Pinch A Penny provides many services to maintain your pool. When you visit the Plant City store you will be pleasantly surprised to find a family owned business with family values. Chad and Casey Wiley are brothers that are now fully invested in their businesses. “We run our business with honesty and loyalty and we pass that on to our clients,” said Casey Wiley.
