At this time of year, the Chamber is gearing up for the end of the year, formulating new programs, setting the new budget, and selecting new members for our Board of Directors.

Congratulations to the following new Board members who were recently elected to 3-year terms on the Board; they will begin their terms in January:

Matt Colbert, Campbell Plumbing and Heating

Jennifer Koch, Image Source

Shayla Mills, Big Sky Western Bank.

We say goodbye and thank you to Gil Johnson, Big Sky West-ern Bank, and Shannon Bondy, Belgrade Senior Center, who have completed their terms. Their time and expertise have been very much appreciated. Jerry Rice, who is this year’s Board President, will stay on the Board for one more year as an ex-officio and Past President.

Because January is the beginning of a new year, it is a great time to join a committee! Our members are welcome on any commit-tee. Come to a couple meetings, if it isn’t a good fit, attend another committee. If you don’t want to commit to meetings, look at the committee programs and projects and put your name on the volunteer list for those specific programs or projects.

The Board of Directors will be having their Annual Board Plan-ning Retreat soon, so if you have an idea for a new project or if you think we are missing something, let one of the Board members know. This is your Chamber – let us know what you think!

I hope you all have a very happy holiday season filled with family and wonderful memories. Until next year… Happy 2013!
