Israelites came out of Egypt and set up their cities in the land of the Ancient Canaanites

Israelite Covenant
One of the reasons that Israelites so vigilantly defend their homeland today is the belief that it came from a covenant that God gave to Abraham, Jacob, and Moses
To this day Israelite are in dispute with other religions about who has claim to the land.
Kings of Israel
After a period of time in their land, the Israelites chose a king named Saul.
The kings were also the spiritual leaders of the nation.
Kings were also great warriors in Israel. King Saul was the first king of Israel.
King David
The next King of Israel was David. David was a righteous king who led the
nation well. The nation of Israel has the “Star of David”
on their flag today. David is the ideal that many Israelites
think they need.

Fall of Israel
The growth of nearby cultures and war eventually led to the fall of Israel.
Israel eventually split into two different kingdoms…Israel in the north and Judah in the south.
Eventually the Egyptians took over parts of the land, and then the Chaldeans under Nebuchadnezzar took over the remainder.
