Culture is the most powerful factor in an organization. It can be de ned as the collective way we do things around here, and is rooted in our goals, strategies, structure, and approach to clients, construction and the greater community. At Hedrick Brothers Construction, the corporate culture is created as the result of the internal

communication and behaviors that tell us what is valued in the company. For 36 years, our foundational principles have remained unchanged: be relational, maintain the highest level of integrity, deliver quality construction, and keep our commitment as strong at the end of the project as it was in the beginning. ese are the core values and work ethic that de ne our environment.

ese principles come down to three factors: People. Passion. Performance. Our people make us the contractor of choice. Our project teams are passionate about their projects – whether new construction, renovation or historic restorations and their performance is focused to deliver a quality product every time.

I was in a meeting recently and was asked how our team handles change. Many times when a construction project is underway change occurs – whether it is minds, materials, budgets, etc. In the end, how we confront and handle change boils down to using our corporate culture as the foundation, aligning what to do with what is in the best interest for the owner, and then meeting their needs. But a company’s culture needs to be exible – it cannot t completely in a “box.” Positive change happens every day and occurs when a foundation is solid. With the best trained people and current technology, a culture can stay on track. is allows us to adapt to changes with projects and allows for versatility in all construction market sectors.

e goal of Hedrick Brothers Construction’s corporate culture is to provide an environment for everyone to succeed. We are a team – for you!

Dale R. Hedrick, President

All of us join together in wishing you a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah,

and a successful New Year.
