L72Brc scerr MoDELS are always impressive, andwhen the subject is a perfectly proportionedCessna 772, with traditionally bright Americancolour scheme, trike undercarriage and a fuselagecapacious enough for any radio gear, one canreadily appreciate how Peter Holland's design hasjoined ArnouoDELLER Plans Service.

The model is 1/6th full size-just 6 ft. wingspan and construction has been kept as simple aspossible. Initially it was tested as pure free-flight,then it was equipped with radio, and Peter's ownspeciality-a "pendulator". This ingenious devicetakes over in the event of over-control and preventsa button happy operator from spiral diving sucha fine inherently stable model. Further details ofthe "pendulator" are included on the full-size plan.

Light weight (less than 3 lbs.) is one of thecontributing factors to the stability virtues of thedesign (it climbs at a steady angle with the AM25rewing moderately on a 10 x 6 nylon prop) andwhether required for sport flying or precisionradio work, it is a most attractive aircraft to seearound the flying field. Much credit for the inspira-tion to build the plane shouldgo to Swiss Al2 and Wakefield 1 .. .rr r : : r , : 1..expert Rruno Bachl i , now with " . : : , : . : , - :Swissair , who f l ies the fu l l s ize : : , - , l . -HB-CPD regularly from Kloten .: . .1r.. . . . ," j j r ; i , : . ; i iand personafiy demonstrated its ;.;,j.= ,., , ,,;;,,i1:ii'ill i rworthy charmg to our Asst. : ' " .

for this "first 772 in Europe" help to em-bellish the bright decorative scheme and thealuminium finish is easily reproduced by metalpolishing a coat of silver dope.

Construction, though not for beginners, is quitesimple. Wing and tail halves detach for transporta-tion and the fuselage presents the only carryingproblem. Built-up formers are cemented to thebasic $ in. sheet sides, top and bottom, makingassembly very simple, planking being requiredfor the radiused corners and cowling. Windowsections on the doors open to give interior accessshould R/C be fitted. Point to hatch on the wingis that spars have to be lifted off the board to allovr-for letting into ribs, and the outer sections areraised when building for incorporated dihedral.Being a tricycle UiC, the front unit employs asensible torsion bar springing with a stop to preventa complete fold-back.

.Has this whetted your appetite for big-stuff?The full-size plan is packed with constructionaland colour detail gen to enable one to make aperfect replica of this fine modelling subject.
